Mine is 2 years old now! Always helping my daughter with her LG G5. Nice phone but not as smooth as passport! Between the LG and my sisters samsung, I 'm not sure which one is glitchier! Always seem to be having a problem finding things on their phone. I don't know what to do when my passport dies!

Yes....i just did this week. I let other people around me such as friends and coworkers get to me about owning too many phones. I really didn't have too many phones (5). I love small electronics. I love tinkering around with things. I love swapping my phones when I just want a change. I had sold off everything and was really unhappy about it. Lesson: who gives a toss what anyone else thinks? If it makes you happy to collect phones or even have a BlackBerry, make yourself happy first. I have my 6s, q10, classic, k6000 pro and a passport that I am waiting to arrive.

I just bought my BlackBerry Passport silver edition about a week or so ago. Happy I did as I had to return my Galaxy Note 7. Now my BlackBerry is my primary phone.

Would I still buy one? I would and did buy two. And they are my first BB phones after having long ago moved away to Android...Motorola, LG G3, S7 Edge...Bought the Black and the SE; $199 and $259 respectively. Already have the black and the SE should be here any day. Looking forward to it...

That was terrible news about the Note 7.

The Passport is quite a different beast in comparison, and I'd hardly consider them interchangeable but more a good pairing for a dual wielder.

Would you go back to a Note 7 if they resolved the issue (or something similar), or will the Passport be enough?

Black Passport, $170 on ebay... Instead of an exploding flagship, one could get a decent Android phone for $200 - $350 and a Passport for kicks... With spare change.

I was a BlackBerry user years ago (a 8310, Bold, Storm, Storm II user) and then switched to Android. I have been using Android for 5 years and am now changing back to BB. I know the Passport is an "old" device, but I have had enough with Android and found the only real feature I want of a smartphone is a physical keyboard. All the apps I use (and that isn't many of them) will run on the Passport. I get it on Thursday and am really looking forward to returning to BB.

Just received the $60 200gb SD card deal from yesterday. Works great in the passport and it's really fast too. I'm glad I saw that deal. Thanks to crackberry staff for mentioning it.

Contemplating a PP after the iOS 10 update on my 6+. The user experience has been awful since that update. Previously had a Curve, Bold, Storm 1 & 2, and Q10, so I'm fairly familiar with Blackberry. The Bold 9000 was one of the best two phones I've ever used (the other being the Nokia E71).

Apple ios10 drives me nuts. Home button is sluggish to respond to turning on. Touch screen requires multiple touches just to register. I'm getting stutters where none existed before. Good thing I only use the iPad for Web browsing and game.

With reference to the original thread, I don't think I would buy a new passport anymore, especially now bb10 looks like there is no way forward, I'll stick with my q10 until it dies, and replace with hopefully a mercury, failing that a priv.
