That's assuming they bought it because of Android apps.

People do not buy BlackBerry devices because of Android apps. That's either a bonus or a nuisance. NOT a selling point.

And specially not for the Passport.
I don't think this is the case, at least not for me. I bought the Passport knowing I could run Android apps. This was a selling feature in case I couldn't find some apps in BlackBerry World.

    I would.
Android apps are useful but not essential to the BB10os experience.

Agreed, it is selling feature. It helps sell the device. I double it you got because of that feature though. If Android apps were the key point on your decision making process, you'd have picked an Android device for FULL support of such apps.

A better question would be: will you buy a BlackBerry Passport that's powered by Android?

To answer the original question - yes, I'd buy it. I really enjoyed Android applications on Q10 with small display but on Passport? No, I even limited usage of native applications. Display is a big enough just to use original desktop web applications that are not limited in functionality as many bank apps for example are.

No. I use security system & cam software, bank apps, & more without difficulty given the excellent resize capability. Without those features, no way.

It's funny my opinion on this has changed in the last few months. Part of me actually wishes BB10 never had an Android runtime so the native app store would have had a better chance at flourishing. At least we would have gotten a few more native apps out of it and the browser would have helped with most other needs.

Android App is on the bottom of the list of need in a phone for me.
I went from 8900//9700//9900 without any andriod app so probably not that important to me to have andriod apps.

Yes, but not now that BB10 isn't going to see any further, serious development. That means few new native apps.

I don't have a single android on my passport... No need... I don't want any ****ty apps mining my data, or being a security risk... and I don't waste my time playing games.

BlackBerry is a business minded phone. I can type out huge emails with speed and efficiency. Passport is perfect just as it is.

I would have initially said yes, that if it was not for some Android apps I would have ditched Blackberry. Thing is...I have owned a ton of phones over time. Every time I got bored, I would then sell them on kijiji and pick up something else. In the last few months I have flipped back and forth between a Galaxy S4, an iPhone 5 an OG Passport and this weekend finally a Passport SE. I found over time I have not played any games in at least 6 months. The apps I thought were so important for me I use the browser for. I only liked the layout of the music player on the iphone....i found it abysmal for the emails I need to write. Sure it was great to have it in my pocket at work, but most of the time my phone is in my briefcase, in my office at work. I am sticking with BB10. I have no desire to get the Priv as I have learned to loathe Android and it's viruses over time. The only thing Google has going for it is it's Gmail suite of products (my corporate organization does all their email management through google's service and we actually log on to our corporate email through gmail's log on page) and Google maps.
