Didn't know passport could run android apps before I bought it. So definitely yes.

Oh sure, you bought the Passport ONLY AND SPECIALLY because it ran android apps.

It was the reason you got it. It had nothing to so with ANYTHING else the device, the OS or other features.

It's a nice bonus. Itt's good to have. It makes things easier.

But it is not the top selling feature.
No, that isn't what I said.

My point is that somepeople would not buy it without android apps, because they Have to use certain apps.

Of course, just saying it runs Android apps doesn't do anything to sell BlackBerry devices. So do the el cheapo prepaid android phones.

People who want the power of bb10 but REQUIRE android apps are able to use the passport, otherwise they might have to buy a Samsung.

Absolutely would buy it again. I didn't get it for the Android apps, I got it cause its different and works great for what I need. I don't and haven't even used the Amazon App store, and don't plan to in the near future.

100% yes. I think I have 2 android apps installed but I'm guessing really. Usually they have bonkers requests for access to my device and info so I just delete them on the spot.

I was on the fence until I saw how easy it is to get Play store on the Passport. That said, I think I still would have gone for it without the apps, and now after using bb10 for a few months, I would definitely stay with BlackBerry, and probably the Passport without the android runtime

Would have bought it, but it wouldn't have lasted long... There's only so long that you can deal with the terrible FB client, not being able to remotely cash checks, not being able to use Yelp (remember when the android app didn't work AND the mobile site didn't work properly in the BB10 browser? The mobile site still has some issues with pictures displaying fully.), etc.

No, there are some android apps I use for work. If they stop working, I have to get a new phone. I don't care for the social media crap. Mostly business apps.

No! I only have 4 apps that I frequently use from the BlackBerry world. Bebuzz, Blaq, Spotify and Crackberry. Most of them were android apps.

Absolutely. Android apps don't matter to me at all. I have all of two on my Passport. Google Maps and Yelp. As good as BlackBerry Maps is, Google is just a little more informative and feature rich. Yelp is there for when I'm out on service calls and looking for a good spot to have lunch. If those apps were not available, wouldn't be a problem for me.

Not a passport used but a q10 z30 and classic user. No way I would buy without android runtime. I only use one android app called line for messaging friends, the rest of my apps are from BlackBerry world. - came from android not bbos for keyboard and hub at 10.2. One app is enough for me not to use a BlackBerry if I could not use it, I suspect many people may be in my shoes. My brother on the other hand loves my old q10 and lives without any android apps but he came from windows phone and is used to lack of choice

For most of the phones functions, it does what I want and more, but I have two android apps essential for work. Without them, I couldn't run this phone as a daily driver. I asked some fellow passport owners if those programs ran prior to buying though, so sadly I wouldn't be on bb10 without those two apps being compatible.

I'll rather run the BlackBerry OS than using Android as they are rather unstable.
