I finally saw and held an se passport in the wild. It felt so much better than my og passport. Like physically.

I'd really consider getting one even though it's a lateral move, but we all sort of know what the future of bb10 holds, so that seems silly.

That being said, an se running Android seems more interesting to me than a slider (even tho the priv looks really cool)... I can't be alone? Doesn't seem too hard for BlackBerry to release one if the priv has any legs...

I prefer BB10, so no matter the device I would try to avoid Android. If it were a choice of only Android, I probably stick with the Passport form factor. Having had the 9800 and the 9810, I do like the slider form factor. However, I just really am sold on the Passport design. It is unique not for uniqueness sake. There is a real purpose to the square design.

I think the Android UI is too entrenched with 16:9 devices. Plus, although a lot of apps scale OK to 1:1, many do not.

BB10 is much better suited for the 1:1 Passport.

Of course don't get me wrong. I love bb10 and it's vastly superior as a straight os to android... but the world is moving on and the apps situation is real. As well as the fact that BlackBerry can't afford to develop bb10 further... we all know the dev team was way scaled back...
    Our future is sadly android...

I just love the pp form (especially se) and wouldn't mine running Android on it if that is what the future holds

I'm with you, SE Passport running Android will (hopefully) be my next device. I can't take the "get Google play services" messages anymore when I open my android apps (which run so much better than BlackBerry apps, IMO). I love this phone, truly amazing, I'm hoping BlackBerry will offer their BB10 Hub as an app, that would be awesome!

No, I would buy a Priv running BB10 over a Passport running Android.

Well, hard to say... the pp form factor is awesome, and the SE got an even better look... plus the improvements in the design make the device feels better... I have never used android in my life, but it would be interesting to see the SE running android... to say it in another way, I would love to install android in my passport as long as I can go back to bb10 once I finish trying it out...

If BlackBerry stopped producing bb10 O/S, then yes to Passport Droid, no to the other (still cant say the name)

I believe that there's 2 types of crackberry aficionados, those who owned (+ loved) 9900 Bolds & those who owned (+ loved) a Torch (hence; PP vs Priv). I'm team PP.

OP you are right about the SE vs OG in my opinion. OG almost feels like a prototype now! IF bb10 dies and choices are ios or droid, at least you would have a nice piece of hardware!

That's a keen observation actually...I knew one person who had a Torch and they hated it. And for the record that 9900 Bold was amazing!

I do prefer passport design over priv, but I doubt BlackBerry will have android for passport.

We need Andoid on the passport. Don't get me wrong, BB10 is great. But anything (like most apps) that have to run under the android runtime are SLOW....

An Android device with the HUB & BBM!? Count me in!
