Please Please Please!!!!! I would like have a Passport with Android... World already change! Don't hold on to the pass...BB10 is long gone!!!! With Android you can have all the Apps out there in the world!!! And with the long life batt performance and other security that BB make it availble, we will still be well above other devices.

Thank to cobalt you already can run all the apps an Android OS would on the passport and the battery life is probably be way shorter, unless they come up with a 'stamina mode' like sony. The problem is running Android in a sandbox, making it slow and unstable.

No. Maybe a passport with windows 10 lol
    Just a question : why ?

From Passport with Love (and sometimes my Q10 with love too)
I have said for a while that microsoft should buy BlackBerry -----I think a combination of windows 10 and bb10 would be great. I would definitely buy a passport running Windows 10 over one running android.

I will buy it if it has 4:3 or 16:9 screen ratio, because I want to run all my fav apps well on my phone. Full touch device is also OK if we have some differences from same ones out there

I have to add my two cents to this thread because I just recently changed jobs where a lot of social media app use is required. I love my AT&T Passport but am feeling the pain of the spotty support for Android apps in BB 10. While I have workarounds for now, I can't see those working forever short of better/higher Android support put into the BB OS.
So yeah, I'd grab an Android-based Passport without hesitation, assuming further improvements in the BB add-ons plus BlackBerry Blend.

BIG OSs fall hard. WebOS winds up in TVs & bb10 will wind up in car dashboards... so much work, so little yield...

If I can still have my core BlackBerry App(like the Priv), I'm ok with it.

The lackluster management of the BlackBerry hardware business should wake up, sell the designs to other makers, and I competent makers produce the phones with PKBs with android inside... BlackBerry is as dumb as HP was with webOS... sheesh !

    what about put this way...

if BB has no problems dropping support for BB10... and knowing this, would people still buy this "android" passport if the android version never got updated again? And if no one could get root/custom roms onto it (since this seems to be how Priv is). So at this point, an old android version vs BB10, what's the difference between the two if they never get updated?

Basically, I'd rather BB just keep updating android runtime on bb10 if they update android os as well, since android os would be more involved than just runtime alone.

Om my existing Passport if BlackBerry were to offer a route to OTA to full android overcoming the etched security hurdles, I would jump at the chance. The Priv is too tall for me to handle with my physical challenges. I would love to extend the life of my device by making it Privish...
