I do not believe a certain OS version dropping support for a piece of hardware makes that hardware outdated. I look at it as planned obsolescence. Can the passport chipset support nougat? Maybe, maybe not. But does passport (and the OS it runs) fulfil most common user requirements? Probably yes for most people I know.

I can also come at it from an environmental angle but we all know what im going to say so I will save it :-)

Bought an OG passport for my 2nd SIM and work. Have an iphone 7 as my main phone. Passport is really a work phone. On days that I'm extremely busy and it delivers.

For work and productivity, there is no other.

Nope. Today I've had enough! I asked my BeMaps Pro app for directions to the nearest McDonald's and it tried guiding me to Berlin, Germany...from Fresno CA! My wife's Android is just amazing for navigating and Web searches. I'm tired of rationalizing that BB10 is worth the limitations because the phone is so good. Just waiting now for KeyOne.
