The reason for asking this is that many people say that passport or BlackBerry os 10 is not worth anything so I thought why dont I ask blackberry users about it. What do u think guys does a passport worth 300$ nowadays?

No, I wouldn't spend $300 on a Passport today. I like my device but can't justify buying a new BB10 device today.

I was able to play around with the Keyone in Toronto last night and I think I am going to keep my Passport and Classic for the next while. Maybe I'll change my mind around Christmas time.

BB10 will outlast Android! Just you wait! Stage 1: denial
Haha so funny! We are all in a bit more of denial.

Everything seems to be outdated on BlackBerry 10, Sad but it's fact
I would suggest to go for iphone as I don't trust Android
BlackBerry Passport is like a tank, but you cannt rely on the dying android runtime.
BlackBerry should at least update their browser if not the whole OS.

Just bought one for $175 used like new pristine condition on amazon last week and now ordered another new one for 180 on ebay. After playing with my wife dtek50, I decide to wait for couple more years for blackdroid to mature. In the mean time, find a good working passport is getting harder ever since Shop.blackberry.com stop selling passport. I understand that not everyone is like me, but so far I can't find any other os that less cluster interface , but well organized hub, and reliable for day-to-day work.

I just posted my SE in the marketplace last night to get some $$ for the KEYONE but not sure I want to sell it now?

I absolutely love this phone man. Even though I can't use it everyday because of certain apps, I can keep it as a second device for emails and Web browsing? I don't know.....lol.

I just bought a passport (non se) for 200$ at bestbuy. I think it's worth that. Maybe not for 300$ any more.

Started out with the Passport SE and really enjoyed it. When the OG fire sale occurred here recently, picked one up. Like it a whole lot better than the SE. Just feels more solid and really like the tightness of the keyboard. Primarily use email, text, Phone, twitter, and docs. For my workflow, I find it to be top notch.
I was using an iPhone 6s Plus as my daily driver but now use the Passport OG exclusively.

It's a fantastic device as long as you know what its limitations are. I wouldn't hesitate picking one up.

I bought a ppse a couple of weeks ago and I am not letting go of this for a year or so. Full disclosure, I am not app crazy and so I use very few apps if at all. My partner and I both use BBM and it works like a charm (she is in android!). I just installed signal on my ppse and the text part works flawlessly. I am hopeful of the calling working on it, soon, too! Who knows. If that happens, I may just hold on to this a lot longer than a year.

I do have a standby android device with decent specs but oh my lord does it hang or what - three years of BB10 use (I was on Q5 before the ppse) has made me forget what a nightmare android devices are - even the shiny, pricey ones!

So will I spend money on a passport in 2017? Yes and just did! :-)

I actually still really enjoy my Passport. Just got a gorgeous Red One for just under $200.

As far as the whole Runtime and Apps is concerned.... I have no need for them. I dont do games or social media and when I need to do banking .... I don't trust ANY O.S. I just sit at home on my desktop and do my transactions that way. Yeah, I know ... I'm a dinosaur.

Haha! Just curious though - you do know that your desktop also has an OS just like any device that does anything! :-)

Ha Ha, Yup. That's why I said I don't trust "ANY O.S" that would include my desktop. I mentioned the whole sitting at my desktop for banking just as an explanation. Just because that seems to be everyone's go to reason for BB10 being "Dead". (No banking apps)

Yeah! I agree with what youre trying to say. Apps make me most uncomfortable. I can barely trust even browsers! So a lack of apps, let alone banking apps, has never bothered me!

I love another member's signature here which goes something like - BB10 will outlast Android, just you wait!
    Haha!
