I have written about this in other posts, but wanted one final kick at the can before I completely write off the official Connect to OneDrive app as useless.

Heres the story: OneDrive used to sync my photos intermittently, now it doesn't sync at all except some random photo that it decides to upload.

I save all my photos to the media card. It used to work fine sometimes, so it's not a question of SD card versus internal storage. When I do a manual sync, it shows that everything is up to date in the app, but nothing makes its way to the cloud. I only sync photos, not videos, and only through Wi-Fi. I have played with all the options, signed in, out, mobile network, re-install, etc... No luck. Totally random syncing.

I have done some Google searches on this issue, and it appears to be something that happens to some people. I have wiped my phone, installed just the OneDrive app, thinking it might be a conflict, no luck.

This is the one thing that makes my BlackBerry experience crap. I need to know my photos are safe when I take them.

Does anyone have ANY idea what's going on?

Onedrive is working on my end. What OS are you on and did you tap check updates in BBW?

The OS is in my signature line. The latest for my carrier. When you take a picture does it upload it immediately?

It checked out the reviews for Connect to OneDrive on BlackBerry world and this seems like a common problem. So it's either a bug in the app or something on Microsoft's side.

    That I haven't tried. I'll check.

I just did a test on my Passport (10.3.2.2339) and it works perfectly. I defaulted to pics stored on camera and then defaulted to pics to store on sd card. Both locations synced immediately on Onedrive. I don't normally use any cloud for my pics, videos, music and other files except for my own WD MyCloud. Hopefully my house doesn't burn down.

How did you choose where to sync from? I don't see the option on the OneDrive app.

Onedrive is painfully slow though. Wasn't like this before 10.3.x came out.

There is no option in the Onedrive app--I meant that I changed the settings in my camera app "Save on Media Card". I toggled this on, then tested the sync to Onedrive and then toggled it off and tested again. In both cases the sync to Onedrive was immediate. Sorry if I wasn't clear on my first post.

As stated above, my sync was immediate, but I only had one pic as a test.

No worries, that's what I assumed you meant after I posted the message. Thanks!

Onedrive had been a huge bandwidth hog for me for no reason at all. When I activate the picture and video sync (over wifi only), for some reason the app would download huge amount of data when I take pictures! How odd is that?

I have noticed that OneDrive uses mobile data even when it is set to Wi-Fi only.

Absolutely. Check you mobile data use under OneDrive in your Device Monitor and you will see that it is using mobile data even when that option is turned off in the app.

Checked it. But it's in kb. Wifi usage is in mb. Not significant enough to be an issue for me.
