- I have seen a keyboard with a track pad all in one. Don't remember the name off the top of my head though.
I've seen the video doing this with a z30 wear you display the phones screen on a monitor and they used a wireless keyboard and mouse to navigate the phone. But they didn't say the brand name.
I would think that you can do the same with a passport
Posted via CB1012-22-15 10:06 PMLike 0 - I use a K810 logitech keyboard and microsoft mouse.
Works amazing. Takes a few minutes to find all the mouse functions and keyboard functions. Once you do you will enjoy it.
I normally use it when I do presentations, miracast to TV, or when I'm at my computer.
Posted via CB1012-23-15 09:25 PMLike 0 - I bought the microsoft keyboard and mouse combination and can not get either one to connect to my passport or my z30
Now my son has a Samsung s4 active and they both connect to his phone
Might be making a run to staples today and see if I can find something that will work.
Getting frustrated I bought the adapters to display my phone on a computer monitor and that's not working either
Posted via CB1012-24-15 09:12 AMLike 0 - Passport with BT keyboard and BT mouse and a Miracast coupled screen, yes I'm in the same process too, same sort of idea all without lots of wires.
This YT explains it quite nice:
BlackBerry Passport used as a PC, demo
Just ordered a CSL mini BT-3.0 slim keyboard (same as the Inateck BK1003) and a Logitech T650 Ultrathin touch mouse as well as a Netgear PTV3000 to do exactly that job the OP asking for, hope this gear works well.
Until I get my Passport in January at some stage to use it as a sort of stationery device I'm going to use all this convenient gear with my Classic as well for a start.

I find the Microsoft smoother and easier to conenct to.
Posted via CB1012-26-15 03:10 PMLike 0 - I'm using Microsoft mobile keyboard 6000 and a Microsoft mouse that I can't remember it's name both working really good. Especially the keyboard I like it's thin design. But, since passport has usb otg support sometimes I use Logitech smart tv keyboard which has a touch pad area.
Ps.: don't expect a pleasant experience. Mouse scrolling somewhere works somewhere you have to hold left mouse button and move the screen like with your fingers on the screen. Can't set the speed of the mouse wheel and it's a pain in the @ss sometimes. Exiting the hub is difficult because no shortcuts for it from the keyboard...
2nd: I don't think so that you live in a country where have to deal with special alphabet like : ,,,ő and so on, because I can't set Hungarian layout in the external keyboards settings. (but again I don't think that would affect you )
(sorry for my English)
Posted via CB1012-27-15 12:28 AMLike 0 - A quick short review on a Bluetooth Mouse/keyboard combination with a BlackBerry Classic:
right here we go, my new office arrived for my Classic today, and working as a treat as I'm writing this.
The purpose is to use this setup with a Passport later on as a stationary workplace, with the ability to use it with my Classic as well if needed, more or less abandon the need for a PC altogether as much as possible.
using a "Inateck BK1003 Ultra-slim Universal BT" keyboard and a "Logitech Ultrathin BT Touch Mouse T630"
pairing both devices via BT to the Classic is a breath and all operations usually made with the devices trackpad or display swipe is supported with the Logitech T630 without hassle, even scrolling works.
One nice bonus with this specific "track mouse" is that it can be paired with two different devices at the same time, allowing it to switch between them on the go with minimal delay (got my old Z10 hooked up to a VGA monitor with a VGA-to-HDMI adapter sitting in it's Sync-charging pod, sadly the keyboard is without switching capabilities, and just to mention it, the word prediction does not show up while typing any text, but I guess that's standard with any external keyboard attached.
The nice thing with the T630 mouse is that the spell checker pop-up coming up as soon the mouse pointers is directed to a underlined red word for correction and marking text, copy-paste makes it so much more comfortable working on text.
making a screen shot with the device itself dose not showing the mouse pointer in the image.
this is the mini combination.
image made with the Z10 linked to the old VGA monitor.
overall this is a temporary solution so far, as Im waiting for the WiDi Miracast device to turn up, to go completely wireless.
So, hope this gives some confidence to anyone who thought on making full use of the Passports and Classic capabilities, going wireless, at least I can confirm that the described equipment works as a tread.
well the price tag of 25 for the keyboard and some 57 for the track-mouse from Amazon is quite an affordable BT solution of making live much easier.
Well at the end it looks like that my desk will have much more space ones the Laptop got banned and dumped out of sight.
(one last tip: for compatibility purposes of inatech keyboard to make full use of it, switch it to the iOS compatible mode via Fn+iOS for best results with a BlackBerry device, Fn+Android and Fn+WIN does work but not all keys are recognised while typing)
Attachment 386082
by the way ;-) the death of wired mouse been on his round lately...

- What are the best keyboard and mouse for passport? Inateck BK1003 Ultra-slim Universal keyboard and Logitech Ultrathin BT Touch Mouse T630? Many thanks!01-30-16 12:55 AMLike 0

There will be more choices of course, anything with BT-3.0 or BT-4.0 will do.
Best recommendations I was able to find was as described in my previous posts, and still after using the inateck/logitech combo for a month on daily base, I'm not regretting it at all, working as a charm.
I personal like the form factor of the black with stainless steel, matching the black Classic and PP best.
Both devices can be found in black and in white depending what mobile you want to mach up with.
Many other Keyboards and mouse on the market are in plastic only, I wanted some that got functionality and style, just personal preferences.

I wonder, if Apple Magic Mouse 2 and Apple wireless magic keyboard work also fine with the PP.01-30-16 01:30 PMLike 0 - don't know which keyboard and mouse would be best for PP in general, but had a bit of research on the web and youtube to find out what would suites me in price and design.

Can't seem to find any good 'wordpad' out there which fulfills my needs.

Good App's for writing and editing are the following all found in BBW:
BB Docs to Go (coming with the device OS10): http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/39343932
Writer: http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/33698893
Composer: http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/59991991
Editor: http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/59966045
Noted: http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/18919692
good tools for text work:
BB Remember app (part of the BB OS10)
ClipMan: http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/20079866
Scan to Text Pro: http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/25231876
PaperPusher Scanner: http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/20399531
my personal recommendation:
have a closer look at the "Doc-to-Go", "Editor" and "Composer" for lots of text that need to be structured, and use "Writer" and or "Noted" for collecting text fragments or short notes, don't underestimate the Remember app this is a very advanced Note taking app, tightly integrated in to the Calendar and ActiveSync for your mail server if that supports it.
The "Scan to Text" app is good for collecting text out of books instead of typing, but "PaperPusher" is perfect for creating PDF files from any piece of paper to be send via email in a very convenient manner.
And "ClipMan" at last is just a must have to copy/past/share any text across any app on the BlackBerry device.
One more useful app is "Dossie" http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/59969991 for archive purposes, let you organise documents combined with a Contact from your Global Address book.
All this app's combined let you transform the Passport in specific, but any other Blackberry devise too, in to a full grown Office mini-PC.

04-14-16 03:03 PMLike 0 - OK, for a start... NO Droid apk's at all, using BBW native built-for-Blackberry app's only... all this app's are nicely integrated with the internal filemanager from OS10 gives perfect access to all files, for opening, exporting and sharing any of the documents across the device, email accounts, BBM, SMS or what ever, without any hick ups that usually happened with APK's, on top of that all this native BBW app's below are fast and very reliable to use, just the right "tools" to use.

Just wanted to post to confirm working BB Q10 with (no name chinese) LK590B BT keyboard (http://www.lantian-it.com/Web/Keyboard/LK-590B.htm)($30) and Logitech M557 BT mouse ($50) Work as expected.
I really wanted an integrated keybd/trackball/touchpad, and preferably one with PGUP/DN END/HOME keys, but not sure OS10 would support them. It DOES support dvorak out of the box though!
I might yet try it with (https://www.jaycar.co.nz/mini-wirele...kball/p/XC4943 , https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/KEY...uch-Pad-Slim-B , http://www.playtech.co.nz/afa.asp?id...=1010&ID=23851) but my local stockist doesn't have one and the nearest is 200km away.11-19-16 05:11 PMLike 0 - Just wanted to post to confirm working BB Q10 with (no name chinese) LK590B BT keyboard (http://www.lantian-it.com/Web/Keyboard/LK-590B.htm)($30) and Logitech M557 BT mouse ($50) Work as expected.I really wanted an integrated keybd/trackball/touchpad, and preferably one with PGUP/DN END/HOME keys, but not sure OS10 would support them.
