    Hi there,

I got myself a black Passport (none At&T, none SilverEdition) from ebay. I have 3 Touchstones from palm/HP lying around and would like to use them for my Passport.

As I understand it, the classic Passport has no wireless charching as the AT&T and SE do have. Would it nevertheless be possible to modify it at as it was done i.e. for the Samsung Galaxy S3? This worked really well with the Galaxy S3 of my wife.

Does the Passport lack the connectors altogether or is only the charching coil missing?

    Thanks for your tips!

you need to find the wireless charging unit to put inside the back of the phone. Or else look for a back to your phone that already has the wireless charging unit in it.

If you have a webOS phone (I still have my Pre 3 lying around as a memory) then you can take the wireless charging stuff from the back of the phone and put it in every phone you want so you can charge it with the Touchstone. There are many videos on YouTube and tech blogs that explain how to do it in detail.

^^^^ Of course, I'm reading this just a few weeks after I took apart FOUR out of FIVE Touchstones in my house so I could give my wife the magnets for some DIY project. FML!

(I, too, have a Pre 3 that I hold on to for nostalgia's sake. ... webOS was beautiful. Damn you HP!)

I'm pretty sure the SE does not have wireless charging. If it somehow does, I would be pretty happy.

    Hi everyone,

So I looked into it and couldn't get it to work just right out of the blue.

Could any of you point to a image or construction graphic of the passport silver edition battery back door. I would like to see how they did it there and work my way back.

Thx alot. Couldn't find anything on the net in respect of taking apart a Passport Silver Edition. Is there such and I just didn't find it, or has nobody opened a Passport Silver Edition yet?
