BlackBerry 10 will be around for sometime but we aren't sure how actively it will be developed, especially with the android runtime.
I am curious if MS is successful at all with windows phone 10 if they could instead use a windows 10 runtime. If it was done with MS support and so that all WP10 apps worked, it might be a better option. Plus, windows seems to be leaner and would run better than Android as well.

The downside is that it still would be a fraction of the apps that Android gets you and for me, I have work apps that work on my passport but not available on wp at all.

They already tried paying developers, and it hasn't helped.
