    I stay in India and the moment I saw the passport silver edition right from the Oslo days, I fell in love with it. Recently ordered it from shopblackberry usa and my cousin who would be coming to India in a couple of months would bring it for me.
    However a few of my friends told me that it wouldn't work in India. Now I'm really confused. please help

    Band-wise, it's identical to the regular SQW100-1 Passport, so it'll work as well as that one.

    There won't be any OTA updates from carriers; it's from BlackBerry instead.

    There is no reason it wont work in India. As Thurask said, all the Passport variants support identical bands

    My passport is the one that's sold in the US.. so it's the same as the SE which is made for the one in the US? But I bought my passport from dubai.
