Blend still requires an installation on your laptop or tablet. Is there a way to connect via a cloud solution? Blend as a Service (BaaS)... :-)

No, there is no way at present to connect via cloud. Blend was presented specifically as a desktop solution.

From what I understand about Blend, nothing is stored on your desktop or tablet, it's a mirror of your device, for security. If there is a cloud version that same security feature is lost. Regardless, I like the idea, perhaps this may be the Gladiator software that was mentioned by Blackberry.

Yes security is one aspect when it would be possible to connect via a cloud solution. A protected laptop, computer, tablet will still require admin rights to download/install Blend currently. Blend as a Service via Cloud avoids this without compromising security.

I'm sure BaaS will come soon and will open a magnitude of new amazing possibilities. Just think about it when Blend and your BlackBerry device are accessible via the cloud.
