So I have had my passport for about 3 weeks now. Bought a UK version 2 weeks prior to its official launch in my country in Vietnam.

However, I have noticed the extremely weak wifi signal on the Passport. Regardless of home, office, or public places, I could never connect to wifi. Turning off mobile signal sometimes works at home, but most of the time it is useless.

It is really annoying as all my other phones (Z30, Q10, 9981) could get the wifi at the same place just fine.

Anyone has the same problem with wifi signal on their Passport?

Yeah Matt, I've tried that too. Pretty much everything I could think of to make it work, but it still is super weak.

While I am experiencing completely opposite of what you stated. I am getting much better wifi signal than my z10 and z30. Did you updated your os to latest version?

I don't seem to have weak signal with public wifi and at home I'm using 5 ghz AC band which works great.

I upgraded my Passport yesterday to the same version and found the same problems: wifi sensitivity dropped remarkably. Before the update it was excellent (better than that of my Z30). So, it is a software problem: hope a fix will come soon.

Please check your WIFI signal level.
When a feet away from router it is about -29dBm and 50 feet away it is about -68dBm.

My Passport has a very strong wifi signal. I don't use public wifi very often but on my home wifi and on my son's home wifi the Passport performs better than my Q10 did.

I am using the latest software.

I experience a similar problem after update to 10.3.0.1419. I noticed that the wifi stability decreased. Wifi often disconnect and takes a while to reconnect on weaker spot. It was better with the original software during launch.

Not sure about Z10 as I have junked it sometimes ago but compare to Note3 and TabS, the wifi on Passport (after update) is more erratic similar to Ipad mini

SR10.3.0.908, OS10.3.0.1418. I seem to have heavy interference in my living room from a multitude of sources, especially when the sun is hitting the west wall full-on. Every WiFi connected device in the room periodically runs into trouble. I tried flipping my WiFi channel last night to improve things (I suspect the majority of interference is coming from my security system which communicates through its own router).

This morning, the Passport is still getting a weak signal and dropped out once over a period of three hours while my tablet remained strong throughout. It seems to be at its worst when I have myself between the phone and the router.

If the tablet keeps its signal even with the sun hitting the wall, while the Passport continues to drop out and have poor performance, then I'll have to call shenanigans on its reception.

At least it's not once dropped or blacklisted that notorious WEP network I use here at work. I'm happy to see that improvement.

Experiencing poor wifi reception. Keeps disconnecting and very low strength. Heck my Q10 got 3 bars while on my passport I'm only getting 1 bar(and dropping) . Recently updated to. 908. Unsure if a reboot would fix this.

Same problem here with passport on 10.3.0.908.
Signal is very weak and often disconnects when i have no problem with my ipad or my Q10, i'm in the other part of the house with doors closed so not right in front of the wifi router but as said other devices get the signal normally.
Hope it gets better in tne next firmware update.

Having the same problem on .908. Wifi constantly drops even when its fine on my z30 and laptop.

Yeah, my passport is less than a week old and that was the 1st thing i noticed... wifi is intermittent.
Often times the wifi drops off completely... i am on OS 10.3.0.908
