I can't uninstall or delete apps on my Passport (software release 10.3.2.2474) because there are no trashcans showing when I touch and hold an app, nor is there the option to delete from My World when I touch and hold apps on the Installed tab.

Is this happening for every single app? All of the apps that come installed with the OS can't be deleted, but anything you install yourself after are.
Thank you Conite for your reply ... but yes ... I'm talking about the Apps I've added - there is no way to delete/uninstall them - the option to do so just doesn't appear anywhere, including no trashcans.
Recently had a similar issue after installing and attempting to delete an amazon android app.
A hard reboot worked for me...hold power button down about 20-25 seconds until red LED flashes and boot logo reappears.

Thanks Lusitano17 - hard-booted twice but didn't solve the problem....
Just to be clear, this is what it should look like after long pressing an icon:

Yes - I've had other BB10 phones where the trashcans showed up - and when I first got my Passport (when it was first released) they showed up. But now - no trashcans anywhere!
Can we see a screenshot?

One picture showing My World / Installed with no Delete option; the other picture in Device Monitor / Storage with Delete option greyed out:

Go into device settings...security and privacy....and check to see if parental controls is enabled.
If not try refreshing BBW in BBW general settings.

THANK YOU Lusitano17 - the parental controls were on and application removal disabled.. NOW I get trashcans!
Beautiful Job Lusitano--It's great to see helpful posts on CB and not just the constant bickering about this OS is better than this OS and the endless conversations about why BB is dying etc etc ad nauseum.
Had a similar problem where I couldn't update apps, it turned out to be the parental controls...

How does it happen that those parental controls are enabled? I guess some people just accidentally enable them then forget about what they did. They are in the OFF position by default.
Sometimes an OS update can toggle some things by accident. A lot of people get magnify mode turned on too.
Yes I have seen this here at least twice in the last while.
I turned it off to disable Amazon app actually. It worked.
But then, I couldn't update any android apps...so I was forced to disable parental controls which brought back the Amazon app.
