As we all knew that there will be no more BB10 OS device and BB will support it for 2 years more.
Why they do not let us have Passport running on Android OS?
    What do you think?

That would be interesting. I think I'd rather see a Passport with Ubuntu truthfully. Android is a notorious battery drainer. I don't know of any Android phone that has the battery life of Passport! So, for me, dear lord or BlackBerry, give me a Passport operating with Ubuntu! Plus once you go android you loose most of your privacy because Google makes its money off your details. Just like Facebook. They are both too intrusive. I'd much rather pay $100 to have a Ubuntu OS.

I think I read somewhere, 1:1 ratio doesn't meet Google guidelines.. So the chance it won't happen

The minimum approved screen ratio for Google licensed handsets is 4:3 so no Passport or Classic.

He has it up for sale on Kijiji I believe. I actually got a prototype Priv from him with a larger than normal keyboard. Almost Passport size.

The Passport actually does an alright job of running Android apps...But honestly, it wouldn't be a BlackBerry Passport. It would be an awkward looking Priv 1.75 or something outrageous like that. As someone has said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. You want full Android on a BlackBerry? That's what the Priv is for lol

We don't know for sure if there will never be another BB10 device again, also we don't know how long BBOS10 will be supported. I think they will support it in some way for years to come.

How's about you convince all the shareholders who actually invest money into BlackBerry to come on board with your fantastic idea and also fund at LEAST a month's worth of programming and glitch finding?

People are so f*cking ignorant with outwardly opinions like this and clutter the interwebs.

Oh I forgot to mention all the licensing fees..

Apple's OS runs on top of QNX in cars. Why not make a phone with Android running on top of QNX, so true Blackberry OS features can be available to business and those consumers who really don't care about apps. Alternately, make a partitioned phone with two OS-Blackberry and Android, and with a virtual sim so each can have their own phone number if desired (one business and one personal)......

If you're familiar with Blend, that is closer to how Carplay/Android Auto works on autos. You wouldn't say BB10 runs on Windows.

Dang. Oh well, good to know either way. I wonder if a 4:3 Passport would be too big and unwieldy. Love the large PKB.

I'm pretty satisfied with the current android performance on my passport. I like the hybrid OS. I just wish we could get the runtime updated to lollipop, or even kitkat would be nice. It'll never happen tho. Chen fired everyone.

There were prototype passports on android, but the screen ratio isn't supported by most apps. 4:3 or 16:9 only for 4.4 up
