Purchased Passport in September from Amazon.

My system storage has increased tremendously.

I have deleted all my videos from my phone.

Not sure what else to do.

Sign out of all your cloud accounts Onedrive, box, dropbox then restart the device check your storage and sign back in.

Out of interest do you use file manager to transfer files over wireless to or from desktop/laptop?

I have a 64gb card so don't store anything on the device if I can help it.

My system files on my Z30 are only 2,6GB. Yours is 22GB. I don't know what makes that up but there is something wrong there. Maybe a reload of the OS? I did that recently....

I wouldn't jump to reloading the OS right away. Without getting a handle on what's causing this, the OP could end up in the same boat some time down the road.

I like the idea of signing out of the cloud accounts and rebooting first.

You may have an Android app or game causing an issue too. I had the Android version of Gameloft's Spider-Man Unlimited eating up a huge amount of device storage. Many days it would add another 100-200MB in additional data to itself. Deleting and re-downloading helped. Tapping an Android app in Device Monitor's Storage tab also has a Clear Data option in most cases.

Take a lot of screenshots? By default they go to Device/Camera. Make a Screenshots folder on your media card and Move them over.

Some apps have a manual option to clear their cache. Snap and CB10 do, for example. Swipe down from top in either and select Settings/Options. Look for the Clear Cache option.
For BB World, go to its Settings/General and select Refresh BlackBerry World.

Also, there is an option in Snap about post-install behaviour for apk files. I made an apk folder in the Downloads folder of media card mem, then set that as the destination in Snap's Settings. If not, you might have all your downloaded apk files taking up Device Mem. The apk file is basically the download package, not the app itself. For Android apps that have updates multiple times, you likely have the apk file left over from each time.

Otherwise, you might have to do what I did recently: Manually explore the Device Memory in File Explorer. You will likely find some large image caches from several apps. These are often completely safe to delete, but use your best judgement. There may also be some "orphans" that you find, folders from apps you don't even have anymore. If so, delete away!

And then there's JayDee's suggestion to re-load the OS. Might come to that, but try my suggestions first before you do.

Yeah that seems a bit much eh? I'm not a part of the 'reinstall the OS' group. Hopefully someone can explain what happened so that it doesn't happen again.

Seems like it's OneDrive just writing over and over on the device because of some corruption issue. I've seen it happen iphone too.

I had the same issue. I found out I had installed a recording app called Called Phone Tap, which unintentionally recorded every phone call in wav-format. After I deleted this terrible purchase, everything was normal again.

    Wow!! Fixed!

    Thank you everyone!!!!

This is what I did .

    - Deleted All APK files
    - Signed out of all Cloud Storage
    - Deleted All Videos
    - Deleted 3 months of emails and texts

Nothing worked, so I deleted Call Recorder and then opened up the BB Virtual Expert App and it showed i only was using 8GB of Device Storage.

You should be able to setup call recorders to only output to SD card.

Sounds like it was that Call Recorder.

When I mentioned clearing cache files, many are found in:
    • Device/misc/android; or
    • Device/misc/android/Android

Long press folders and select Properties. Anything large, open up and explore sub-folders within, repeating the same technique of long-pressing and selecting Properties.

If your problems are solved, that's just for future reference or anyone else reading.

    Correct.
I had not used Call Recorder in over 2 months.
When i opened it, it was actually still recording, something like 116 hours.....can not remember exactly.
I deleted it , immediately, all storage issues resolved.
    Thanks
