When I press the keys on the keyboard and then release them , I feel a sound like a sucker when it comes away from a surface. The keys function smoothly but emit a noise as if it remained attacked a plastic surface. To you going ?

Sounds like the typical BB keyboard from your explanation. I do not have a passport though. From what I have read there are rubber domes under the keys to give you that click feeling like on a keyboard on your computer.

Absolutely it's not normal! I've got a Q10 and The keyboard is beautiful and perfect!

Well then return it and get a new one, could be defective. Or if you can, compare yours to another one.

But I can bet u that it will be pretty much the same with the noise you are talking about. All BlackBerry keyboards make a clicking sound or clacking sound.

Hmm is it loud enough that you can take a video so that we can hear it?

If all the keys behave the same way I would think this is the normal behavior. I know each of keys makes a noise after being depressed.

The sound can't be hear in a video. It's particularly evident on The "E" and "N"

Probably the rubber domes are not rebounding properly. There have been a number of Passports with various keyboard issues, from sticky keys to collapsed domes. If you can, get the phone replaced.

I would suggest just work through it for now instead of going through the headache of getting the phone replaced. I'm sure the domes will wear out enough that they will be sound normal. I mean the phone is not double typing or mistyping so why not just keep it?

actually not causing errors in typing , I 'll try to see , as you suggest , if the problem persists using it. I do not want to go back to the q10 for a month! however, the keyboard of Q is far superior: The race of the keys and the click, the Passport in my opinion will never have them

How long have you had the passport? I'm getting used to the keyboard. It's been a week but every day I'm typing a little faster and a little smoother.

I have exactly the same problem that you describe with four keys (“I”, “O”, “K” and “L”) of my one week old Red unit. No problems at all with the other keys and with my Black and White Passport keyboards. Have you noticed any improvement after one and half months of use?.
