My last phone was a windows phone (Nokia 920). I had it for almost 3 years and was pretty happy with it in general and the Windows OS. So why did I buy a Passport instead of a new Window's Device or an Android or iPhone? Basically I can't stand the andriod OS. It just looks childish to me. The iPhone is nice but expensive and I already have an iPad. If Microsoft had been a bit quicker with OS 10 I might have gone that way but they tool forever to provide me with an upgrade path. So that left me with BlackBerry. So far the change has been great. Anyone reading this and sitting on the fence should go for it.

I picked the Passport because of the battery size since my Z30 wasn't cutting it for me.

That's interesting, most people seem to feel Z30 battery is more than sufficient. I have Passport and Z30, both batteries last 24 hrs+

    The Z10 is another story.

The only thing I "miss" on my z30 is the HDMI output port..other than that I love it.

Having seperate USB OTG and hdmi was nice. I assume 2 slim ports would have accomplished the same thing.

With passport can't hardwire HDMI and USB which is one of the disadvantages vs Z30

Not possible for me with the Z30.
On the rare occasion with the Passport, I barely get 12 hours out of the device.

You know what's awesome? The Passport. I like chilin' out with it to watch Hockey Night In Canada using the CBC Sports app. Works great!

Yes I agree but that's wireless and I find the lag is too much especially for games.
