One of the best features of my Passport is the screen size. For those of us who read on our phones the size is the holy grail. The other part of this story is the phone is bullit proof, and the battery is amazing. Now for the OS system, lets be clear. This is an OS that is far from perfect, but name one other that can do what it does. Run multiple OS apps fairly well, allows you to multitask with multiple screens and is mostly bug free. This is all from an EOL OS and from a company given up for dead.

Last but not least is Crackberry. As an owner of a midsize company I have always had go to people. But in the corporate world we tend to play it safe. Also like most guys I hate to ask, then I discovered Crackberry. A place we're stupid questions are not stupid, but answered. It never ceases to amaze me, how people will extend a helping hand. No matter how simple or obvious the answer may be, so a hardy thank you to all of the experts who have helped me along. With a special thank you to Blaze and Cobalt. Without these people I would be still be stumbling in the dark.

    Woof!

But I would point out... with some other devices, it didn't take a village in the first place.

Agreed... which is why even now, I don't see iMore or Android Central with the same type of "community" that CrackBerry had during it's glory days.

For all the complaints.... the STORM was a "fun" device to play around with.

I think many core BlackBerry lovers were tech guys/gals that had been through the early days of computer software and the "joys" of loading/writing software from scratch. Even installing Windows was very tricky back then.

Today's "tech" people are very different.. for them it isn't about getting the hardware to work to begin with, but what they can do with it.

BlackBerry Passport is just Amazing, and BB10 is still the best OS period. And no matter how much BlackBerry try to port BB10 feature to Android, Android won't ever match the productivity of BB10. Period.

I spend a lot of time on the road. The passport has made it possible for me to carry this one device with me and not have to bring a tablet or laptop along. I also have to send a lot of texts which the physical keyboard helps a great deal with.

While picking up my new glasses this morning, the technician freaked a bit when I pulled out my PSE and used it to test the bifocals. Her exact words were, "Is that a phone?!?"

Crappie comes to mind. Very old and simple. A lot older than 4 years.

Sent from one of my SE Passports using BB10 superior software.

It definitely is one of a kind, people are very bipolar with their reactions. However, when thinking about its security advantages as compared to other os, at least for myself, I'm completely sold.

    They are a fish....

Believe he meant crappy... as in poor quality. I "think" he is trying to say other devices are poor quality running much older OS that are inferior to his BB10. Some BlackBerry users still like to believe that iOS is some old junk software that is outdated and will soon expire. And that they are because they are so simple and easy to use they must not be a real smartphone. And that those Chinese built iPhones are very poor quality compared to the exacting standards of BlackBerry.

But then I'm just guessing... as he's using an Passport and probable the CrackBerry mobile app... it was too hard for him to do complete sentences.

Boy, I can' agree with you more, the Storm and I traveled all over NA & Canada, Texas to the yukon and back. It was my communications, my entertainment, mt life blood, then it broke! Storm II to the rescue and then the fun really began.

Sad that an OS is "Amazing" that is about 4 yrs old with almost no feature updates for the past 2-3 yrs and no further updates features-wise except for security updates. Too bad. Speaks volume for the things BB did with BB10.

You know I've been going between my Dtek60 and Passport and I keep thinking that the Passport is better somehow. The icons seem clearer it is also easier to manoeuvre around than android and the general look of the software it all is more professional and polished. Don't get me wrong BlackBerry did a great job with its Android Dtek60 but I keep going back to my Passport. One other thing when I got the Dtek60 I thought I won't have any app issues well guess what? I can't even log into the TD Canada Trust account because the app is not working which I beaver thought that would happen especially with an app from a major bank and a pretty common and used app. So guess what the app works on my Passport but not on Android go figure.
