Me and my friend both have Passports and we use the video call option of the BBM but it never worked well. Always gets stuck! Before the passport I used to have the iPhone and there FaceTime is so much better! Perfect quality, doesn't get stuck that much.
Is there any alternative?

Speculating here, but it's possible that network operators are implementing QOS on their networks. They could be inspecting Facetime network packets and prioritising them, whereas BBM packets may just get treated as low priority. This would be part of the net neutrality debate.
I never encountered any problems as u stated, it did only happen when the network was not stable. You may want to verify your internet connection, make sure it's fast enough and stable. Myself, I mostly use bbm video or voice with either wifi(100/30mb), LTE, or H+, and they work as promised.

Have been using it since launch. We have had no problems and I used it daily and across the world.
I also, subscribe to BBM Meeting, a fantastic product by the way, and it too works flawlessly for video meetings across the world.
So most likely it is the network, as some one suggested above - and has to be a problem only at one of your ends.

It works well for me when my WiFi is working well. Sometimes it works better through my cellular network when I turn WiFi off.
By the way, my WiFi sucks.

It does not work at all for us. It is slow, laggy, and you cannot view both ends at all. Turn it off and use facetime and all works great. This has happened several times over the last few months. Consistent bad not working video when facetime works great. Losing faith in blackberry!!

Both BBM video and Skype video work well for me. I do prefer BBM though because it is higher quality video.
FaceTime is pretty dang good on my iPad. Can't even lie.
That's very weird. Do you use wi-fi or your cellular network? How good is your Internet speed and does it have a good reliability ?

Huh bbm video is far superior to me the google hangout, Skype. The voice sounds so good on bbm and it seams clearer

BBM video and voice works great for me. I haven't had an issue and I use it mainly on network. Haven't really used it much on WiFi.

Bbm works well I was wondering if anyone has loaded Tango on their pp and does it work! I tried installing and the call goes through however I can't see anything on the screen on my end but the other person sees me !Any ideas?
