Hi, I have the blackberry passport since yesterday I have trying to connect my bb to the computer via USB, but I am not able to connected it, I did try to connect my tablet to see if it was the USB cable, my tablet did connect to my computer just fine, any suggestions of why that may be happening?

You could try going to settings/ device connections and make sure it is set to allow connections.
You could also go to settings / storage and access / access using usb....then make sure the USB mass storage is turned off.
See if that allows your computer to connect with the device.
    Good luck.

Do you have any USB 2.0 ports or all 3.0 ports?

Well, I think all of then are 2.0 but I don't really know, but what I do know, that before I was able to connect my passport just fine, since yesterday I haven't been able to do so.

Have you rebooted both? Turned of connections and back on? Turned on mass storage and turn it back on?

What he said! Bblink installs all drivers and you'll here the drivers connection bell once it connects!

Also go into windows and check the USB drivers list to confirm it installed correctly!

Have had similiar problem with a Q10 not recognized by pc. It was listed on the "BB LInk." Since I could not do a backup, hit the reset button. What an adventure in BB hell. Fortunately everything turned out well save "Passport Keeper." Copied from other Q10 and manually reentered of unrecognized Q10.

Just a hint: using USB to connect the handheld to the computer is basically setting up a network link.

It can happen, that the network settings on the computer (due to a company enforced policy or an eager antivirus program) inhibiting the connection. Network troubleshooting or visiting network adapter settings are worth a try in Windows.

Note: you don't need Link at all on a PC. For USB access you must disable Link on your BlackBerry device. There is an option in the settings. And you must enable USB mass storage access. Link and USB acces are no good friends. Then you plug in the cable and any PC should see the new connected USB device after a minute regardless if Link is installed or not. Indeed I uninstalled the useless Link software from my PC.
