Who will buy a passport? My best guess, people who are fans of blackberry and their contacts are up. They will have two year old phones that they may want to move on from. Seeing as the passport will be the new girl on the street, might as well cop a feel.

I'm going to pick one up mid contract to replace my playbook and Q10 if the size fits. Otherwise I'll be rocking both!

I feel sorry for you for switching to the iPhone from a Z30. A step backward is not good.

Step backwards in what way? Screen size absolutely. Everything else is speculation

If it can go for under $600 in the US, I'd be convinced to buy it. Considering I bought my Z10 for $180 last November and still love it, it'd be hard to justify going over the $600 threshold.

I would have to see it first, but it looks very intriguing. I love my Z30 and it would take a lot to get me to move.

I think I'm convinced to buy the passport. I just don't know what's going to happen if I put the passport inside my front pocket and work like a dog (with balls on fire).

I never had an device with a real keyboard. I think I will buy a passport. Before I fall in love with BlackBerry I had every iPhone. Then - late 2013 - I bought a Z10. A few months later I switched to the amazing Z30... I think it's time to test drive the passport!!

Very easy, I have a Q10 (from early 2013) and still happy with it. Sometimes I wish I just had a bigger screen on my Q10, mainly for browsing if the need arises. Reader mode is great and I use it all the time. People who are bit older or have bad eyesight and want/need a physical keyboard, this Passport might be the perfect solution.
BlackBerry (marketing wise) should highlight this extra advantage of the Passport.

i once wrote that there should be a place for a tablet like the traditional Kindle (that was a best seller and used to be sold for a very long time even after the all touch versions definitely took the market).
I can't help thinking that the Amazon deal for their market could get in a more interesting collaboration about an Amazon tablet with BB10 OS and Blackberry's keyboard innovations...
That would be a way to limit the productivity costs and gain a lot of visibility.

my Bold 9900 is three years old and the Classic will replace it as i prefer a real keyboard with track pad and call/end call buttons, as for the Passport it looked ugly at first but it grows on you and will try one out when it arrives,
might end buying one while waiting for the Classic.
