I use it often when walking. Requires headset to use...works wonderfully on Z30.

The radio has come in handy the past few weeks with all the snow. It consumes virtually no power and doesn't require any network. If we were to lose power, I'd still have access to emergency info via local radio stations and have enough battery to last through whatever outages I experience.

I would use it more often if it didn't require a headset to be connected.

This. The speakers on the device are great and as ateacher there are lots of times I want to play music in the class, while they are working, but I don't want to lug around a portable radio. (the kids wouldn't like the music I listen to)

I tried with attaching computer speakers but it didn't work.

I love it!! Use it as much as I can.

I cut off an old pair of headphones for an antenna. I use it at work all the time, at home for doing the dishes and folding the laundry, running, hiking and for camping as much as I can.

On days I take public transit I like it as well.

It uses almost nothing for battery, and sometimes you just want that feeling of unrecorded music. And you get the news, too.

The next phone I get, blackberry or not, must have an fm radio.

FM Radio on a good clear station is great, way better than your standard mp3 stream quality sound wise.

I use it all the time to listen to sports radio when working in the yard or in the garage. Works great, isn't affected by spotty wifi or cell tower coverage and uses very little battery power. Love it as a feature!

Computer speakers work fine on mine. You can plug in the headset and still output the audio to the Passport speakers.

    this is what I do!

just tap the three dots menu (will never learn the proper name of it), then tap on audio:

    Who uses the radio?-img_20150215_150730.png

then choose speaker and there ya go!!

(of course the headphones have to be in to use as antenna)

Works great with my KLIPSCH X7i and the cable is very effective as an external antenna!

Instead of the headset plug the speakers in. Speaker cable acts like an antenna.

as per previous comment, if you use the input jack and plug your computer speakers in, it will work. Also you can actually use the output jack of the headset to connect to any sound system input. for instance my car has an input and I use it to get a wire transfer of sound to my car speakers, which also has the same result for phonecalls as well intead of using bluetooth.

I use it from time to time. Data volume is kind of expensive in Germany and sometimes I'm bored of the music on my device.

    This is gr8 info.

I was searching the PP spec sheet last week and searching for FM radio apps trying to determine if this PP had FM capabities. Finally after searching for "FM" here I found plenty of info.

    Thanks!!
