If you zoom into the back picture, the card shows the device was Made In Canada. Wondering if all of the limited edition red Passport's are made in Canada?

I wouldn't trust a sticker on an opened device.
The sticker on the box is the only one you can trust.
Seems they are made in Mexico

You'll be hard-pressed to find many red ones made in Canada. I suspect even that one in the photo wasn't really made in Canada if someone were to pop the top off of it.

First thing I'd like to mention is that it is a demo that the OP is showing us. Maybe BlackBerry made a few in Canada to pass along to the stores.

That "Made In CANADA" thingy could be real... but applies to limited numbers made/produced, likely as show device or prototypes. For larger scale production and distribution to the whole worldwide market, the cost effective way will be Assembled/Made in MEXICO... or Hungary, if the latter plant is still around.
In the past, STORM2 have some limited batches "Made In CANADA" as well. But it was only available thru premium sellers with very high price tagging...

In only device in the recent that is Assembled/Made in the American Continent... i mean straight to the country where the brand originally comes from, was the discontinued 2013 Motorola X, Made In USA, for worldwide distribution.

Otherwise whatever you saw in the internet, could be just limited volume production prototypes. Just like a Microsoft 640/XL LTE floating around in the net with "Made In FINLAND" sticker pasted under the battery hood. Mass produced ones are from a factory in VIETNAM

Ah, makes sense. I attended a BlackBerry event in Toronto a little while back, that's where I saw this. I actually asked the rep if all the reds were made in Canada.

Didn't get a clear answer so I was wondering here.

Rep said it was about evenly split amongst factories, didn't know how much to believe that. Guess I know, .

In any case, I just ordered a red yesterday! Looking forward to it

That's a good question. I'm sure it was a super limited production run. I'm glad I have one.

Yes. If you're after one, you can get one on eBay in the UK for about £60-£80. Avoid the STL-100 if you can

BB had MFG prototype and production facility that produced initial run for the hardware, demo units and qualification units until Chen's day... Queen visited the facility in 2010 The Royal Visit to RIM | Inside BlackBerry
the rumor said the BBOS units had better resale value if the sticker said "made in Canada"... for a good reason. Based on my experience with multipe companies, the prototype line staff/workers usually are elite group that can make engineer dream come true with down to earth input... Japanese still has that system, but you find less in NA nowadays (apple still has their facility that more integrated to the Ivys lab... possibly why iphone quality is a better than most of other in the field). If you holding a "made in Canada" unit, it is something special inside. IMHO. (like Canadian diamond got maple leaf laser engraved inside... it just - different).
