I've wiped my Passport to reinstall without clicking yes to all BB except license agreement which was mandatory. Apparently that will keep my basic phone, messaging and browser capabilities.

A long time ago there was a person who posted about how to add some android script or something to BB10. Which I did a long time ago and had been able to do until this wipe. I was able to run fennec from fdroid and firefox from apkpure.

Can anyone direct me to that post?

Not sure what you mean. You don't need to do anything to allow Android apps to be installed.

Hi, fdroid did download and install, then I downloaded fennec and it won't
install, warning message pops up that it's not compatible.

A few years ago someone posted here that they sniped out some android '?code?' which could be
installed and then apks would run. I did that way back and it worked.

I also downloaded firefire apk through apkpure and got the same result as fennec. no go.

Downloaded yalp and won't get past sign in, says google acct access, sign in with yalp store acct, and orig device info and default language. I haven't used yalp store before.

Went there, yandisk, using the link directly from passport / crackberry forum, it opens but download not working, the screen is simple with Yandex Disk upper left, Log In to upper right, AppsOps1.4 by ^.apk, save to yandex.disk lower left and download to lower right.

But couldn't figure that out either. It's on me, but I do sincerely appreciate your help. In the mean time I'll work on figuring it out, unless you have another way to side load from laptop.

There are 3-4 ways to sideload using a PC. PC software utilities such as DBBT or Sachesi and also the Chrome PlayBook/BB10 manager extension (which you are trying). There may also be a Firefox extension for the PlayBook/BB10 (not sure if that still exists). I think most people here recommend the DBBT software. Do a search here for DBBT is my recommendation.

This is not sideloading. You can simply tap on an apk file on your device and it will install.

Simply move the apk file to your device, either by email, cloud storage, or USB.

Conite, I know this is a new/old question but. A friends young son grabbed my silver passport and loves the phone, I explained that it is on life support but he thinks its cool. Is their any maps/navigation I can load on it for him. The BB maps are now dead.
