You don't need to buy a nano sim just cut your old card into a nano, just search for the template on google.

I'm with Telus and this weekend was my first time buying a phone that wasn't from a carrier. Therefore, I had to do some research and this is what I figured out:
    - There are currently 2 nano SIMs sold by Telus. One is a NFC Nano and the other is not. Both are $10. The NFC Nano SIM currently allows you to do NFC banking with CIBC and TD. The NFC Nano is not required for regular use of the phone's NFC (i.e. for transferring photos or adding BBM contact).

I don't bank with either CIBC or TD, but I am going to grab the NFC Nano anyway since it is the same price as the regular and they might also eventually add support for my bank.

Here's the link to Telus' Nano SIMs:
    http://www.telus.com/en/ab/mobility/...All_toSIMCards
    I'm using Telus and TD.

I assume the BlackBerry App doesn't have the feature to pay using my TD Visa.

WIND nano SIM is $25 :/

I had a reception issue with my Q10 and the first thing they recommended was getting a replacement SIM. Walked in and got a 2 piece micro (apparently they are all three piece SIM's at Wind now). Walked in and walked out with a free micro/nano SIM for free.

The nano portion can be popped out of the micro and replaced into the micro easily enough.

It didn't fix my reception, but at least I got the nano SIM out of it.

Vodafone UK, free of charge. Shocking that some carriers in other countries make a charge for a new sim card whether it be micro or nano.

Good to know..i had reception problems as well and the SIM didn't fix it either. But I'll just pop the micro to get a nano.

    Thanks.

I got my SIM from the carrier I'm using, T-Mobile.

I just want to add my experience at the store.

So I go to my local T-Mobile authorized dealer, which looks just like a T-Mobile corporate store. And I simply said "I need to swap from a micro SIM card to a nano SIM card for my new phone." The sales rep understandably wanted to verify they were giving me what I needed. He asked what my old phone was. I told it the old phone is the BlackBerry Z30. Then he immediately said "ok so you need an iPhone 5 SIM card then." I said no. I need a NANO SIM card. I don't know what size SIM cards go in iPhones. I'm upgrading to the new BlackBerry Passport." Ask I elected his reply was, "oh they made a new one of those? " I was done and just asked him how long it would take to activate the new SIM.
And just moved on from there.

From reading other post on these forums, I wasn't surprised at the rep's lack of knowledge of a new BlackBerry product, but I was surprised that nano SIM cards are being referred to as iPhone SIM cards.

For 5 or 10$, I wouldn't cut my SIM! Lol

If you ask nicely, your carrier might give it out for free.

Ahaha I know that feeling! It's this feeling of unknowing that makes it unsettling, not a big deal once you realize the mistake, but until then, it just feels.. weird o.O
