You will have to back up your data.
Security wipe/factory reset will delete all your data.

Are you looking to replace the battery yourself? In which case you might be out of luck. As there is hardly any supply for Passport parts in India. Try checking ebay as well. You could check in Paytm also.

Hopefully that factory setup will allow us to upgrade to the latest passport os version.. And how will I restore my data back.. will it not give us everything back with errors like as today

Do you have friends or relatives in the west who could buy one and send it to you? Might be the best option.

No Andy, but I enquired ebay, they are selling battery @ 37 dollars from china , but no warrantee if found defective. That doesn't help us either.

Passport's replacement battery is available aplenty >here< in Canada. They ship internationally too - and have an industry standard return policy as well.

I think, on Google images we see how a passport battery looks kie but I am finding difficulty in knowing on what basis should I order... is it model number : or size of the battery in inches..

Model is SQW100-1 and I don't know the size.

Looking from the about box of the device it shows the details already

Thanks mate, have checked, many does not ship to india.
Now the question is there are very few service center's across India. They don't have any knowledge about replacement passport batteries leadtime.
Think have to do it by own, by seeing youtube video's of passport teardown.
