The time it is available the phone will be obsolete! As will the OS 10.3.1. The two items were announced about five months ago. If Apple did that they would be headed to last in the list of wanted phones too. How to shoot yourself in the head BlackBerry. Announce and promise but never deliver.

I know a guy who was told by another guy that the att branded boxs had to be made from copper, polished and ground smooth. All the cardboard box's at the print shops caught on fire and burned down the building. That makes the delay from the silk screen machine breaking down and needing parts flown in by helicopter for the logo seem like a new york minute.

Heres a clue, att got the Z10 in march I think almost two years ago. they might aim for those 2 year contract renewals but we are talking about a really big company here.

Apple does one big release per year and Apple did miss one of their "expected" targets when they moved the "typical" iPhone release from June to October, when the 4S came out. Apple isn't perfect.

I do not know who to blame for this. But this is not good for business at all for a phone to come out in September and all hear from AT&T is that it will be out soon. Here we are 5 months later and we are still hearing it will be out soon. There is enough blame to go on both sides.

By the time the redesign/AT&T Passport is out, most people probably wont even want it anymore, I know I am growing tired of waiting... Also, isn't BB supposed to unveil their 2015 device lineup at MWC?

I wonder if they are taking so long because of how fast 10.3.1 is maturing (check the latest OS thread and you'll see what I mean). I also wonder which version of 10.3.1 will be the official that' supposed to come on the device

I really do not thing that AT&T wants to sell any Blackberries at all. So they are dragging this out as long as they can so that people will go buy other phones. Then when you do put it out for sale the numbers will be so low then they can say "See no one is buying Blackberries"

Are there any internal differences between the two? I had reception issues with a Passport that I bought from shopblackberry.com. I am hoping that the AT&T version helps this.

This delay is absolute nonsense. BlackBerry clearly has no leverage at all, and the situation was worsened when Chen kicked T-Mobile to the curb, because he needs all the options he can get. That said, I'll still check out the Passport when it eventually hits AT&T in mid-2016!

It was ultimately Chen's decision, but you can "thank" all the armchair CEO BlackBerry users who asked for it. Maybe at this point, they can see that it's just not T-Mobile USA that had a problem with supporting BlackBerry. It's *all* the major U.S. carriers. T-Mobile was more blatant about it; the others were just more insidious, slowly not supporting the devices to give justification for the poor sales.
