Do what it says and switch to a supported phone before December 31?
Download Whatsapp from Google Play Store, install and use.
Or start using BBM, get used to it...
Either android or ios :)
This is just the beginning of the end for BlackBerry support. Time to move on to another device.

You now have an excuse to acquire a new iOS or Android device on January 1, 2017.

If it is your main app for communication, you need to get a new gadget with WA support.

Quien necesita WhatsApp teniendo BBM o Telegram?
Many lives are dictated by this message.
Can many live without this app or any app for that matter.
Sadly the answer is no.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize that Whatsapp would determine the fate of BlackBerry,!??? Didn't Yahoo try the same stunt themselves and look at them now... Who cares about Whatsapp.... They could go away tomorrow and I would even notice....

I heard u can't use whatsapp from Google store to send pic?

BB10 is a phantastic operating system, but it is coming to its end, slowly but certainly. That's why it was a very wise and ahead-seeing decision by Mr. Chen to switch over to Android.

Why wouldnt it? I switched long time ago when I started using pebble. BB10 version did not have API for pebble to receive the content of the message and crapoid one does. It works without issues. The only thing that is super ridiculous is how the keyboard works. You need to press on the text fields before typing, otherwise it gets crazy on Passport.
I haven't tried it but I know few who use it on their Passport with out any issues.
Does the android version of whatsapp get integrated in the hub?

Over one billion users?
Nope.
Good riddance. This whatsapp was a nuisance. Unwanted people who have your number can irritate you with texts and forwards. The worst thing was that you have to reply to their msgs cos they could see ur last seen and whether you are online. Heights of stalking. BBM is far superior and private. India is full of people who don't value their own privacy.
This is one of the best reasons for me to stick to my passport. Maybe will get another one before the stocks run out. Lol
