Hi all,

Right one of my friends has bought a new passport himself. He is coming from the z10 and wants me to set it up for him as he is out of town for a day or 2. Not a problem but he has only asked me to transfer the WhatsApp data ie backup file and bbm backup file to the passport.

Now I set mine up brand new, I just transferred over my BBM data. So how do I get just his Whatsapp data onto the passport via link?? I've done a full backup of his z10 and doing a part restore onto his passport but I cannot see for the life of me where his Whatsapp files are kept. I know through file manager they are kept on the device in the misc folder. But in link after choosing the backup file...I don't see it.

Anyone know or can tell me which files/folders I need to choose etc??

Just send the backup file via bluetooth and place it exactly the same destination as in the Z10.
Once you open Whatsapp, it will automatically ask you if you want to restore

Brilliant...thanks.

I could just put the backup file in his sd card then put that into the passport then transfer it to the device memory in the misc folder...that should work right??
