Anyone type on the passport SE faster than OG?
Jaglenn's Passport
I actually suck at the game right now. I feel like I'm a lot faster than what is begin displayed.
Maybe I am. Maybe I'm actually not. :)

Liveonparadise.. I am the same too. About 55wpm @q10 but just moved to SE. I'm thinking maybe 60 or 65 similar to a desktop speed

To me it's all about accuracy. Fast with bizarre auto correct jibberish is unacceptable. All vkbs have that.

I am slow, I still am adapting I guess. I am faster on a VKB but I like the capacitive keyboard and shortcuts and I am slowly getting faster on the PKB and starting to type without looking at the keyboard for simple words. The thing that often screws me up is moving the bubble when I type after placing it where I want. Is there a trick to get rid of the bubble after placing but before typing? The only thing that comes to mind is a space and backspace.

Nothing is faster than never having to backspace.

Signal boost. I have this problem as well, frustrating when the cursor moves just as you start to type

This, I love my passport (it's on its last legs now) but not having shift and alt keys really slows it down in terms of typing. My bold 9000/9900 were my fastest typing experiences.

Alt I can vouch for, but Shift on the vkb popup is conveniently placed right above Q/W so it's really, really easy to use.

I wonder how many classic users feel the same way. I've said in a "should I get a Passport or Classic" forum, that the touchscreen row on the PP, IMO, slows me up just a little bit. Not enough to cause me any real problems though. I used to fly on my curves and bolds.

Passport was my first BlackBerry, Classic was my second. Didn't really care about not having shift keys until I got the Classic, now I can't use the classic without missing capacitive keyboard while typing, and can't use the Passport without missing the toolbelt and alt/shift keys haha

Figured as much lol I am a Passport user, but will be getting the Classic soon. I'll then know for myself.
