That's what I thought too until I remembered the keyboard mapping. Really comes in handy if you can train yourself to use it.

Please explain the above. I have read the term 'keyboard mapping", but don't understand what it is. Thanks!
Swiping down on the keyboard "maps" the numbers and punctuation symbols with corresponding keys.

You also lock it by holding the right shift key.

I dont know what technique you guys use but there is no need for the swiping down for the mapped keys, all i need is already showing on the virtual row. If i need numbers just press the @123 and you will have 4 virtual rows that stay there for a couple of seconds. They swiping down is a waste of time IMO

Swiping down on keyboard will bring the virtual menu. And you could choose the numbers and/or symbols you need, then continue typing away, it will close the virtual keyboard automatically.

Quite useful and speedy if you use swipe function fully.

While I truly love my passport, I do find it a tiny bit wide and I'm currently using my Z30 for a while. I'd like to see some form of Passport a smidge narrower.

Agreed. Maybe a Slider that's a bit narrower than Passport.

I'd buy a passport sized q10. In other words:
    - Passport Screen
    - Scaled-up proper 4-row keyboard (as q10)
    - Removable battery (as q10)

This might still be a bit far fetched.. but any idea what's after Passport? Would BlackBerry be continuing this series?

I feel like BlackBerry started with the Q10 & Q5 which was a nice increase in screen size from BBOS devices.

Now they have moved to a 4'5 inch versions of those 2 devices. The Passport being the new Q10 and the upcoming "Osla" is the new Q5.

Both Q10 & Q5 had very similar specs and I've been told the Passport & "Osla" will follow that trend.

I'm very keen to see what happens in the coming months. Exciting times

Wouldn't it be great if Blackberry could put their OS and even their app selection into a phone such as the awesome Samsung 6 Edge. I can only dream.

    Speaking of which...

Until (if ever :P) we get real keys with changing glyphs, it would be a nice touch if any PKB keys that you are resting your thumbs on (but not yet pressing down), would highlight on the mapped virtual keyboard.
(EDIT: ...which is a software feature that could be added, right away, to existing Passports.)

I notice when I read I rest the passport on my left pinkie and scroll the virtual keyboard with my thumb. It is lighter than holding a book.
No no no changes! It is sleek, light, perfect glass, best to type, and the pictures are awesome.

Three rows, four rows- meh. I'd be willing to go down to two rows as long as the specs are top shelf and they KEEP IT SQUARE!!
