I've tried to put all the contacts onto my sim card and move them this way - this would be ideal for me as I intend to use the both devices, but only a small section of contacts appear on my new device when I try to do it this way. I have set up a new BlackBerry id on PP but I stupidly deleted the id on the classic several months ago. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Do you have a Google account? If not, create one. You could link all your contacts to Google on your Classic, and then set up Google on the SE.

No problem with that. From your Classic, open your contacts and select all then share it via nfc to your passport.

Why are you guys overcomplicating this? Blackberry Link has been around for years now for this very purpose. Make a backup. Buy new phone. Deploy the backup to it.

Device switch is also a function of Link. No dowloading to individual downloads required.

Is that for contacts only or is it a complete image of your phone like Link?

Buy an office 365 account. 4 or five bucks a month. You deserve better.

Sent from one of my SE Passports using BB10 superior software.

Yes, upload to Exchange just incase your employer cans you or accidentally remote wipes your device, they take all of your contacts from you

Exchange = any personal or corporate ID from Microsoft ..
Hotmail.com, Outlook.com IDs can be treated as Exchange IDs

Just add your Google account or Microsoft account, it transfer all of your contacts (you have to copy your contacts to the Google account first)

Connect the phones via bluetooth or NFC.

On your classic, just select all of the contacts you want to transfer then hit that share button. I'd share via NFC as its the most convenient and doesn't require pairing.

There's no need to use an app or Link when transferring between two BB10 devices. It's part of the beauty of the OS.

Those are Microsoft IDs, they work as active sync/exchange accounts but they are definitely not are not an actual exchange account

I have 2 phones 1 android another BlackBerry Passport. I use both phones simultaneously, while saving new contract, I use phone in hand either BlackBerry Passport or Android. In this case all contacts are beautifully sync with each other. I prefer Microsoft ID for synchronization.
