Better camera and software. Contrary to what some think it's total garbage.
    Longer battery life
    One more row on keyboard
    Bigger app ecosystem

Bigger app ecosystem isn't a phone thing. It's an ecosystem thing. I think the question was asking what you'd like in hardware on the next phone :P

How can you complain about battery life? It's got the largest battery outta most of the flagship phones. I don't think a bigger battery is the issue, it's software tweaks to make the OS more efficient, and again, that's a software thing rather than a hardware thing.

Camera improvement would be welcomed for sure.

    Hello all,

I know this post may be too early but still
I wanted to ask what would you people like to see in the successor of blackberry passport?

    I would like to see
    - space bar in a separate row, like q10 keyboard, and also with numbers and shift , . etc
    - even higher mAh battery
and all latest things specs wise,
I can see these upgrades possible but a 4th row for a space bar? Wouldn't that defeat the function of the passport design?

IMHO I believe the passports keyboard layout is perfect.

I would really like a passport has full 4 row keys ergonomically separated in 2 parts ( like the microsoft ergonomic keyboard, old folks you know what I'm talking about ) , and trackpad in middle surrounded by function keys.
    May the dream come true.

Love the touch sensitive keyboard. It was be even better if it functioned exactly like the classics track pad. Being able to use it as a cursor would be sweet.

I don't think more better specs is needed for a BlackBerry device.

All I would want is a bigger battery, specs really don't matter on BB10. Even a Raspberry Pi would be able to run BB10 OS lol.
Specs matter. I hope you're not working for BlackBerry.

AMOLED screen (deep blacks, better contrast)
Better Camera and much better Camera Software (manual aperture for example)
Keys slightly moved upward (my thumbs tend to naturally rest on the top row and I have to bend them to reach the bottom keys, feels slightly awkward)
Narrow bezzel on the sides (-2mm per side, to fit better in my pocket, getting it out is more of an issue)
Slightly rounded corners (to help with sliding into or out of pockets, less protrusion when sitting, and it will look better, not a big fan of Z3 style)
More speed (it's good now but it can always be better)

Regardless of my list I still love my Passport.
You got your wish on the slightly rounded corners. Grab an AT&T Passport.

Improved (latest) specs and better camera that's all for me. Keyboard is perfect for me. Putting a Classics type keyboard with the same size screen would make the phone to big and making the screen smaller for the bigger keyboard defeats the purpose of the Passport

I am pretty sure (s)he meant a thin-tipped precision digitiser type stylus, as opposed to those capacitive "finger substitutes". :7

As for myself; Mostly what I had been hoping for, for the first edition:

A good AMOLED screen that extends under the keyboard, giving the key caps alterable glyphs, instead of necessitating the current on-screen "solution".
(Flexible substrates allows you to bend the display film, so that you can have it flush with the glass, on top, and recessed behind the keypad, below.)
