    I am just wondering if they will stop. I just want to use the texting, browser and phone, not a big fan of apps, just the basics. Am I in for a shock?

    It's an EOL product as of Jan 1st 2020.... Most likely it will be fine, but in the end we don't know what would happen if everything got shutdown.

    BlackBerry did announce they would continue backend services beyond the end of 2019, but gave no details on if that was months or years. My guess is you should be good another year... but there is no guarantee.

    I'm guessing we will still be OK for at least one year if you don't rely on modern apps in your worflow too much. If it's basically emails, surfing the Web and calling and whatsapp for chat we're pretty safe.
