So, my headphone jack works intermittently. Sometimes it's fine, other times you plug in and it will not recognize them until you restart the phone, after which it works fine....until it doesn't again. Blackberry sent me a brand new phone regarding this issue, and the new one does it as well. They are now sending me yet another new phone. Amazing service, but frustrating issue. Any ideas? Lack of BB10 updates perhaps?

Have you considered it might not be the phone but rather the headphones? I mean, two phones, doing the same thing. While not uncommon, does seem a bit...odd.

If your sure the headphone are good.

I'm betting you have installed an app or go to a Website that is causing issues with Passport audio software.

The only way to find that out is to pay close attention to what you install and where you visit on the Web.

I had a similar issue also, new phone or OS all would be good until I visited a certain Web site. Than I would have the same issues you are having.

The headphones are good, I've tried 4 sets! I'm thinking it's a software issue, which is what I told BlackBerry, but they're sending me another phone. I told them it was probably going to do the exact same thing.... we'll see I guess. Maybe the next BB10 update will fix it, hahahaha

Just reboot every so often. As I do, if I experience a non-existent headset issue.

It's definitely not the 4 pairs of headphones I've tried, or the two audio cords I've tried. It's the phone, and it seems to be a software issue. Was hoping there was a fix other than having to reboot my $600 phone several times a day, but unless BlackBerry addresses the issue I suspect it won't go away. Unless someone knows some magic fix? Huh? Anyone?

My Q10 was having the same issue. I ended up going back to my Z10 until my new Passport arrives. It is probably the phone and not the software because the Z10 works fine.

I don't know which OS you are running but you could try a different version.
