They are features who are great on the other phones too. My passport is far to be perfect, but I do like it!! Guys enjoy your phone, and stop staring at the courtyard of the neighbor.

Ah, Blend will be a good one...I can see sitting in a session typing out texts/BBM's on my Thinkpad while my colleague is tapping texts on his little touch screen...and I'll copy a couple files to and from my Passport while I'm at it.

iOS8 and android can do the same. iOS8 can do it natively on a mac with yosemite, with my android I use mightytext as a plugin for Chrome. Copying files is possible using one drive, or google drive or the cloud. Though I cannot do it without touching the phone like blend does. I am not sure about iOS8 since I do not have any apple devices of my own. I do use yosemite on one of my work computers though.

Blend is great. I have had iphone and android people loving it when I demonstrate. To think all BlackBerry 10 users are getting it shortly is amazing.

iphones have mac integration and can answer calls from the desktop. It's pretty amazing. Of course, I prefer Blend's way of doing things. But that argument won't hold up.

No data retained on Blend. Absolutely nothing. Excellent for vpn user that need access to their emails texts and bbm. Once disconnected everything on the PC is gone.
Does iphone do that?

1) The Keyboard is the main draw followed by the size of the screen. This I have learned from nearly 60 demonstrations of the device everywhere from Casinos to Airplanes to Restaurants. Young and Old they really like that physical keyboard.

1a) turn the device sideways so that the keyboard is on the right side as you're holding it. Open a large email or web page. Scroll using the keys.

2) They will complain that "you can't use this one handed". To be productive you need to focus and concentrate. One handed use is for people driving and texting at the same time. Someone's going to die. BlackBerry is all about being productive and not making mistakes.

3) They will also complain that it's too big to use as a phone (as if the iPhone 6+ and Galaxy Note are dwarves). 90% of the time I'm talking it's in the car (Bluetooth) or on Rogers (VoIP) or headset.

4) Mine has 164gb of memory in it. (Add this: SanDisk 128GB microSDXC Memory Card Ultra Class SDSDQUI-128G-A46). Let's see Apple try that?

5) NFC that works everywhere all time time; not proprietary.

6) That Keyboard. It's not just cool; It's really functional. Start searching from anywhere by simply typing. Swiping up for word prediction. The usual.

7) Android Support: Get SNAP going and get Amazon App Store going too. Have some of your own favourite Android Apps going (like OpenTable, FitBit, NEST, etc).

This, while also playing music from a YouTube video in the background.

Sorry to go against the topic.
Last Friday, I was showing one of my friend my Passport and she loved it. But then my jaw dropped when she showed me her new Note with the S-pen. She took note during the meeting with her client, edit and put that into text and composed a report for her boss and a sum up email for her client with attached document on the way back. At the end of the day, she was enjoying the evening while I would later have to work more.
A working tool? A stylus pen and hand writing recognition capability for Passport would make it the dream phone for me.
I would appreciate any recommendation for a stylus pen and hand writing recognition app for my Passport.

My friend got her Note 4 as a present from one of her clients who had been seeing her being able to do so much with her older version of Note. She's been helping that business a lot of course.

I forgot the ability to use Hub attachments in emails i.e. attachments from other messages and even accounts in the Hub. No need to first save the attachment to add it to another message.

The Hub is a beast!

Ask an iPhoner to email you a single email with three different filetypes. Do, for example, PDF, pages, and a picture.

Literally impossible without paying for a third party app. That'll shut em up real good.

It only works with mac computers with the latest OS. Blend works on Mac, PC, Android tablets, and iPads. It's truly cross platform

I don't think the OP implied that he was going on the offensive by trying to be an evangelist with his Passport. On the contrary, I think most if not all of us have experienced the mockery of iPhone and Android users when they see us "still" using a BlackBerry. Being armed with a quick response and demo does indeed shut many of them up.

I would give them and end to end demo:

1. Start with the shade pulled down. Show them how it blocks calls and texts while you are sleeping.
2. Remove the shade and then go into your hub. Show them how you can not only see and reply to emails, but can also see and reply to texts, BBM, Whatsapp, Facebook, and Linked in messages, all without having to open the individual apps.
3. Reply to a message and show them the awesome capacitative keyboard and flick typing.
4. Pre-install a cross section of 8 apps that they would never think would work on a Blackberry. My choices would be candy crush, netflix, skype, MS Office, BitTorque (set a torrent to download and then minimize it), Google Maps, and Uber, with your 8th app being the browser.
5. Open youtube in your browser, fire up your playlist, and then minimize. Let the music run in the background while you are flipping back and forth between playing Candy Crush, checking on the status of your torrent download, and editing one of your word docs. Show them how fluid and easy it is to navigate in the OS.
6. Peek back into your hub while you have on of your apps in the forefront.
7. Open SNAP and show them the entire Google Play store catalogue.
8. Plug a USB thumb drive into your phone and show them how you can copy and paste files back and forth in the awesome file manager.
9. Open the device monitor and show them the rock solid OS and battery use.
10. Close your apps and pull your shade down after a long day of work and play.

I would easily point to the Hub and all it has to offer. The overall speed and efficiency of the Hub makes it a beast to be reckoned with in the mobile world. What's that? You want to fire off an email with multiple attachments? I have you covered in a matter of seconds. You also want to update that Twitter post to say how much fun you are having at the conference? I can crank that out right after this email. Oh, need to text someone back home? Done and done. I just did all of that in a matter of seconds. The Hub (coupled with the amazing keyboard) is literally untouchable in it's speed and efficiency to get all of these things done in a timely matter without breaking a sweat. As the mantra goes, BlackBerry is for serious work.

Be mindful that many of the features mentioned in this thread are either part of iOS or Android in some form (Blend, Wi-Fi Direct, SD cards), not novel anymore (Hub, side-loading, Active Frames) or hopelessly overused (attachments in iOS Mail). I’d focus on the hardware aspects of the device if you really want to distinguish the Passport. The keyboard should definitely be the crown piece. Add to that the comparably good camera and mention the fact that BlackBerry has solidified a bit more as a platform, with its Android runtime. Don’t brag about it, it won’t give you much attention, but rather be humble and show that it’s a powerful device that covers your personal needs more than any other device.

Wide screen browser using capacitive keyboard for scrolling AND keyboard shortcuts to get around, etc.

Editing text in notes, keyboard only aspects like switching from entering text to moving the curser to selecting text, copy, paste... Keyboard characters and alt/symbol features on both virtual keys and on physical keys. (check out the sticky note on keyboard shortcuts to learn everything that can be done). Including word prediction and flicking words to the screen.

Hub as always, but use of keyboard shortcuts to instantly do things. Peak into the hub from within an app and at home screen...

People love the picture password, but have a great photo to use. Obviously this is not passport specific, but a great square photo helps.

Being really familiar with the keyboard helps.

Multitasking, switching between apps as part of whatever demo, browser, remember, calendar...

Refuse to tell them anything. Say, I don't think you will like it, it is not for everyone. BlackBerry made it for a very selected target group. I mean, I don't really trust apple or android so I'm only ever gg to use a BlackBerry. They will get even more curious. Lol.
