    Your point was mute

The fact is that the iPhone is bending in pockets, doesn't have to be intentionally

only 9 6+ out of almost 5 millions sold were reported bent..insignificant

Chen said that the phone has a steel frame. So it would not be a surprise if the bending did not succeed.

You have random people posting Youtube videos bending these devices. With the size, shape, and materials used, it can't be helped.

Where do you get your data? Many devices, included those which are reviewed by critics, bent a little after being put in a pocket for some time, although not very apparent. It could be observed when the device was put on a flat surface.

Had a good laugh at the twoonie scenario. Remember doing that when they came out back in the day.

If someone were to post a video of a "bend test" that requires the use of something beyond raw human strength, such as a hydraulic press or bench vice, I think that would end up being good publicity for BlackBerry as a show of strength and durability for their devices. I'm fairly certain that it will take a *lot* to bend this device, simply based on its internal steel I-beam construction, but also based on how wide it is. It would be like taking the iPhone and trying to bend it length-wise instead of along its width.
My only concern, based on the fact that it's an exterior frame, is that the inside plastic (or whatever it is) layers will just snap/slip off the frame,.. and then the whole thing just falls apart.

The BlackBerry Passport's frame is made out of stainless steel while the iPhone's is made out of aluminum so the Passport will surely be more difficult to bend than the iPhone.

While it might not bend, the much more interesting question is "Will it blend?" - like the iPhone 6+:
