Well, at the very least, prepare to be addicted to it. And the coming urge to collect MORE BlackBerry phones.
Congratulations, anyway, and welcome to the family!

Lack of app to start...But if that is not an issue then you will love the Passport.

Expect to discover that talking to people on the phone isn't such a pain in the **** as you probably think. The call quality on the Passport rivals and sometimes beats desktop phones and is great even when there is a ton of background noise. If you start using it, you will find yourself gravitating to more and more voice communication.

Also expect an adjustment period as you get used to the way the Hub integrates all of your messaging into a central location. You may be tempted to segregate everything, but my advice is don't. Leave the defaults as they are for a month or so, and you'll wonder why Outlook and all other messaging platforms are so clunky in comparison.

Finally, if you are migrating over from an iPhone, expect that your friends who are using iPhones will not be able to send you text messages, be cause Apple has your phone number stored in their database as an iPhone user, so all text messages for other iPhones will not be send as SMS but will be trapped inside the iMessage servers. Suggest that your friends download BBM and use that instead.

I had that message problem when I went from iPhone to windows phone, and the hub is one reason I wanted to get the passport all my messages and emails in one location

The battery is amazing. It lasts all day without an issue.
The Hub is a convenient way to keep track of messages.
The keyboard is a bit awkward at first. You need to stretch your fingers more than usual because of the size.
The screen is great for reading, surfing, etc.
    Enjoy the phone!
