Yes, run a full backup using Link. It's better to be safe.

The only time I had a problem with an OTA update was when I didn't run a backup. By that logic, if I run a backup, all goes well!

    This times 1000

I never used to do this, but with the purchase of 64gb SDXC cards, I'm finding that sometimes the data cant be read by my PP after an OS load(even though the data is there, it always wants to format the card). So now I just pop out the card, load OS, pop it back in. No problem since.

Is there anyone else who has had this trouble? I suppose, in the event the card will not read, one can take it out afterwards, copy the whole thing to the desktop, stick it in the PP & format it, copy all the stuff back on the card ...the backup in link doesn't copy the SD card, I don't think... the app called "advanced backup" or something like that does offer the option to copy the card too...
