The native browser on my passport is the only browser I use. But, lately, all the websites with the social media layer seems to obstruct my view of the page. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I hate to install anything android, hence is there a way to avoid this in the native browser ?

I don't know how to prevent it. It's happening to me too.

Are you saying you can't hide the bar? Tap on "shares" and two left facing blue arrows will appear under the share bar. Tap on those and the bar will be minimized.

BTW, that site you're reading is unbelievably annoying. They may know networks, but should learn more about web design.

All I can add is that even on youtube website, the entire thing that we have typed in the search section is not visible. So I just guess I typed correctly and hit enter.

I use the linkedin mobile site since the Application started having issues.
The page wouldn't render properly and I didn't have access to the menu bar on the top of the screen.

After the 1.3.3 update, it seems to have been resolved. Maybe a coincidence, but Imho I think the browser update may have helped.

    Nice tip!

Just remember that one small caveat: ***NOTES: Ad Blocker ONLY works when connected to the internet via WIFI. Currently blocking is not supported when connected to cellular data, we are investigating the possibility however.

Otherwise, I enjoy using Browsie Browser which has a built-in ad-block and many other useful features. I don't believe there is a caveat, but read the description:

not free, but not too bad.

Opera and dolphin browsers are available for free through the Amazon App store which is already on your BlackBerry Passport. Both are exceptional browsers.

Ohh now I see exactly what you mean! I didn't see the picture originally. Yes those ads ARE super annoying. Good to know that there is a solution to fixing that.

Also, Opera browser isn't what it used to be when it was native, years ago. The amazon version sucks *** and isn't worth anything compared to blackberry native browser.

I haven't found a way to fix this in the native browser. Get the evolution browser with its ad block feature.

Use reading mode. Just press R. Read the content, bye bye ads etc. Not exactly a solution, but that what I have been doing.
