    Hi all,
Is it possible to watch movies from netflix or amazon prime on Passport? I mean not adding Google play store apps just off of the Internet browser.

    Thanks

Do you own a BlackBerry 10 device? Do you have a Netflix account?

    Here is the Canadian login:

    https://www.netflix.com/login?locale=en-CA

I don't have an account to test this. So, I don't know if it works. I do know the Netflix apk file installed and worked perfectly on my Passport when I did have an account to use. You don't have to do anything regarding google play services. The app just works.

You can't watch Netflix online from BlackBerry 10 devices. It requires Microsoft Silverlight to be installed. The Android app works fine on my Passport. Be sure to change the size to of the app to rectangular so that movies will play in 16:9 mode. Otherwise, it'll clip some content.

Amazon Video isn't available via BlackBerry 10's browser either. They used to provide an option for those having trouble with Silverlight, but I can't find that option now. The Amazon Video app no longer works for me on my Passport, so looks like we're out of luck.

Netflix now offers a HTML5 option, which doesn't (they claim) require silver light.

Just download the Netflix apk. Either by Snap or the Cobalt Google Play Store

I've tried the html5 ( chrome browser version of Netflix) not working. So only way to watch it on the passport is to use the Netflix android app.

It's not available for some reason. It's like they blocked bb10 users from it lol...

Sideload it maybe? Download the .apk from the Google Play via one of the many websites out there.

I have never had an issue using any Netflix apk file. They've all worked perfectly fine and never asked for google play services.
