Go to Settings > Display > Advanced > Reset to Carrier Wallpaper.

That won't reset the lock screen background.

I hadn't noticed -- I seldom use the default wallpapers. I did find this, though. Is it the one you were referring to?

You'll either have to add bars on top using a imaging program, or you can choose a square from within the picture.

An idea

There was a guy which gave me the idea of doing it, he had a US Diplomatic passport (they're coloured black) as wallpaper, looked beastly.
