But I don't think that's what that ad means. Whoever wrote that ad thinks the phone runs Android, as in it's an Android phone, not just that it has a runtime and runs some Android apps...

That's how I'm reading it, curious if they just guessed or where the writer got their info. It's not like correct information is difficult to find.

I guessing the writer had heard that BlackBerry was now making Android phones and decided to do a Google search for "BlackBerry Passport Android version". The results from that seach are enough to confuse almost anyone.

I tried that, now I'm inclined to declare the author to be extremely negligent if not outright slow in the head.

You must be assuming that most people actually read the search results rather than just clicking on the first link that catches their eye.

Not really. Walmart has pretty much always sold BB's online. Just in-store they suck at. So it's not really a good or bad thing at this point.. more like par for the course.

Target has and may still sell unlocked BlackBerry devices online as well. As far as in store, not so much.

I don't think this should be in the Rome / Argon section... it should either be in the Passport or BlackBerry Android devices

Video is more than a year ago.
Pin mark (covered by mosaic) at four corners that we all know what it means.

Too bad. It's most welcome if BB would have released Android OS for the users to flash (autoloader) into their Passport as alternative.

Probably just figured "nobody" buys BB anyway, so who cares if it's accurate right?

The version of jelly bean is almost as old as BB10 itself.

They probably got it confused. BB10 OS devices can install and run the Google play store.
