Sometimes I'll take my Passport with my when I go running (bad idea) when I'm too lazy to put the SIM card back in my Classic.

So after my jog my Passport is a bit dirty so I'll clean it with a damp cloth. Well one time I did this and I guess water sunk through the keyboard and my Passport would not work correctly. Whenever I would press a key it would freak out and would signal another key.

I was very devastated as I only had the phone for 2 weeks. I immediately put the phone in a bag of rice and also in front of a fan...

I didn't touch the phone for two days. After two days I took it out of the rice and it WORKED perfectly! I was so fricken happy man.

Just be very careful exposing your Passport to water (especially damp cloths) over the keyboard. I thought I'd share this horror/success story for other Passport enthusiasts.

This. Please - use alcohol wipes to clean the keyboard - they're much kinder than water
