    Hey everyone,
I have installed Viber from Snap and worked great. The only thing I noticed is that it drained my battery like there was no tomorrow.
My battery usually lasted well over a day, but with Viber I could barely have it to last 6-7 hours.

Did anyone else encountered similar thing or was I doing something wrong?
Just curious to hear your experience with Viber on PassPort.

    Thanks,

Not only viber but whatsapp too as per my experience. Although it's not on PP.

Is it possible that no one has experience with Viber?
Perhaps it is not a very popular app for a BBRY??

I have Viber running all the time. As you can see by the screenshot, it only consumed 0.32% of my battery over the last 48 hours. Negligible.

Also, I find that it works so well, I forget it's an Android app.

No worries. Once the BlackBerry 10 native version of Viber comes to BlackBerry World, I'm sure the battery management will be better. The Viber team is vigorously working on it. So no worries guys!

    That is little weird...
I tried uninstalling and re-installing with couple of hard resets, but did not help.
Once I remove it my PP is running two days without a charge, with it, lasts half a day.

    Something must we wonky...

I am not sure if I can tell if you are being sarcastic or is this a real comment?

I entirely agree with you. I noticed the same battery drain with Viber, ending up uninstalling it. Conversely, WhatsApp works flawlessly without any battery drain.

I think the battery monitor is not precise when it comes to android apps. Any android app that uses data frequently is a battery drainer.

All android ported apps play very good role in battery drainage :P they ain't even compatible with it! BlackBerry don't take responsibility you install it on your own risk!!

So I thought to just provide an update. I've Uninstalled Viber, reset the phone (couple of times) installed it again and was successful in running the phone just fine for two days with no issues.
I will keep monitoring, but so far works well.

I guess something went wrong with install the first couple of times.
