You can work viber for your blackberry from google play . "It's safest.

Was able to download an apk for viber and here is the version.



It works for messaging. Not that fluid though, unlike other OS. Video calls and phone calls do not work on this version. I can live with that though. I guess beggars cant be choosers. If only Viber will reinstate their support for BlackBerry then I will be one of those happy campers. Or if BlackBerry will have a native app for Viber. Idk. And I still thank Viber for allowing these third party sw developers work with them for these APKs.

Version 5.6.5 works well with my Passport. It can get a bit sluggish loading for the first time so what I do is keep it open in my live tiles always.

Messaging, video calls and voice calls all work.

Hi I got this versoion of Viber from apkpure.com. Rocking 24-7 with my Passport SE & Semi retired Z10. This version works on both phones.

Brother you need to load the Apk file above this string. This is not available in blackberry world.

What Viber version are you using? The version I posted a few posts above is working fine including all messages and calls.

I start loving Viber on my Passport much more than WhatsApp since Viber allows me to use even old version to communicate (texting, calling, sending files/pictures) with other people using different Viber versions on different mobile phone models.

You have to install an older version for it to work. Newer versions don't work.

I am using the same version. you dont need to keep it open always. you can close the app. just a very slight delay for message to come in

Yes you don't need to keep it open. But I keep it open because it takes some time to load Viber if you don't keep it open. By keeping it open, I can immediately reply to my messages with the least waiting time possible.

I had the same problem and I risolve doing this :uninstall viber-go to blackberry world and search for viber10 -install it-do the activation with you phone number-and then you can update viber 10 with the viber version 5.6.5.1885

Software: 10.3.3.1435

Try with the older version of viber 5.6.5.1873
delete the 5.6.5.1885, restart your phone and install the 5.6.5.1873

Sounds wired...unfortunately I see that viber10 isn't available for the passport...try to do a hard reset and after that don't touch your passport for 15 min

Zello is superb for BlackBerry PTT and was just updated.
Even though Voxer gives me some issues here and there with push notifications I still found a version that I use that works superb for the most part. IMO's new version finally Ceased to work. Go Zello and Voxer. Wish BBM was more like them and had cross platform video support with Android! Zello in blackberry world once one is used to it and gets friends on it, it's amazing... however I still go back to my Voxer pro. BBM opening every single voice in the native player is just to slow for me on BB10 side. They should of built a native player to play them auto within and id swap.

download fiber app v5.6.5. it work on my passport 10.3.3

Viber is the only app I have had issues with on the passport.

Firstly, there is no viber app on BBWorld for passport. Can someone else confirm this? I had it on my Z10 previously downloaded from BBWorld, which worked decently well.

For my PP, I downloaded Viber from snap. The layout is average. When I answer calls it gets disconnected immediately. Also, due to the square screen layout, the answer/reject buttons cannot be seen properly.

I have tried the zoom in/out options but not much difference.

This is not a complete deal breaker as there are other options like Skype and BBM Video (which I haven't tried yet) but would like to get viber to work on my PP as I got family using it.

Would like to hear thought from other CB members using Viber. Thanks!

Problem solved! Viber is now working.

- I managed to grab a copy of Viber 10
- Installed Viber 4.3.3
- Updated to 5.6.5.1885

Note: Im not sure if updating Viber 10 directly to 5.6.5.1885 will work though
