I had a Z30 for some time and now on a Passport. I didn't use the Passport so far on busy work days but did a lot of stuff over the weekend.
The Z30's battery is awesome but the Passport's battery seem to last significantly longer - unless the device monitor on the Passport has been tweaked.
I will know for sure mid/end of the week but first impression it, that the Passport's battery is much better. Might have to do with 10.3 as well since the Zed was running a 10.2 build.
I had the Z10 before, and had to charge it before noon every day, no matter my usage.
I just bought the Passport and haven't had a chance to use it at work yet, but I have been at the cottage since Friday evening and haven't had to charge it once!

Did you charge it all night when you first got it or just until it said it was fully charged and unplugged?

HTH
It better be. It is a lot larger than the one on the Z30!
My phone would go from 100% to 0% in that time. Something is wrong. Can anyone help? Suggestions?

There are several threads related to battery conservation and device battery calibration techniques in the forums, I suggested you do a search and report back
I feel I get the same battery life as my z30 did and being it's an updated processor and high resolution screen, I am a happy camper. Better then my iPhone 6 was and 200 dollars cheaper.

My Passport is lasting marginally better on a charge than my Z30. BUT, that's probably because I can't set the darned thing down. Once I get over the novelty of the new device, I expect my battery life to increase significantly.

Problem is conflicted information. Condition, don't condition, condition, dont... etc...
The good news is my battery seems to have fixed itself! Charged it last night with rapid charger from Playbook! My battery will last all day now. I hope this trend continues. I was nervous there for a second. Now to get TuneIn and Instagram working. Mine crashes when I log in. Downloaded from Snap.

I feel the same. I've been streaming music and loadings apps non stop.
I ran it until about 20% the first night I got it, then fully charged it up over night. I've had it a few more days now, and I am in love with the device - especially now that I can use blend. It's so seamless!
The battery has been unbelievable. I ran it from 7:00am yesterday until about 11:30pm and still had over 50% battery left. I used it intermittently throughout the day, but had it connected ALL day to the blend software on my Mac.
Even this morning, I've been up since 6:00am, and even four hours later, I still have 74% left (heavy use this morning). Here is a snapshot of the battery life the past 48 hours for those of you that were curious!
48hr report shows majority usage is screen and system for battery
I had turned my brightness to 100%, and all my accounts were syncing and settling as well as downloading and installing all new apps and data
I've since turned display down to a more reasonable 70ish% and everything system wise should be settled by now
My current average battery life stands at 17hrs, I'll report back with the new settings in a few days

After a few days with the new brightness setting, my average battery life has now gone up to 23hrs with backlight at 60ish% with the 48hr report showing now only 57% usage of battery towards the screen... that's pretty dramatic
