That's weird. Is it the unlocked Passport, the original one?
What is your wireless provider? It has to be to be a GSM sim card, so at&t, T-Mobile in the U.S.

Went to t-mobile and it detected a brand new sim card, but I have a white passport now, does the keyboard have automatic backlight???
